Recently, Taehyung had had these "episodes" where he forgot details of his life suddenly. It was nothing like in the movies where he forgot who he was or who the people around him were, but it was more like where he couldn't remember the date or time all of a sudden. He asked the same question over and over again, never seeming to remember what the answer had been.
So far, he had had two of them.
It was a bit scary for the others. It was probably frustrating for Taehyung as well, because he always ended up agitated after it was over.
They had taken him to the clinic and Taehyung had been diagnosed with transient global amnesia, basically a fancy way of saying that he forgot the details of his life suddenly at times. It wasn't like it was serious, but quite the opposite. There weren't any complications - or none that were known at least - but they were a nuisance. Most people only had one episode but Taehyung had already had two. He took comfort in the fact that nearly ninety-five percent of people only ended up having three.
It was a very rare thing to go through. So rare that doctors weren't exactly sure what caused them and how to prevent them. For the most part, Taehyung was by himself.
There were no warning signs. Taehyung could be chilling completely normally and all of a sudden, he would start acting a little differently. He would ask the same question again and again and when he couldn't remember things that were asked of him, would start getting agitated. Gradually, he would start improving. By the next day, he would be back to normal with nothing but an embarrassing memory in his mind. The episodes had only happened in front of the other members, who tried their best to care for him.

If anything, it was debilitating for Taehyung. After a particularly bad episode, he would sit there and think whether the others had been annoyed by him. They always reassured him that there was nothing wrong, but he had a habit of overthinking and overanalyzing everything. If Jimin sighed in a particular way, even if it was out of tiredness, for Taehyung that meant that the mochi was annoyed.
He felt burdensome.
It had only happened twice but it felt like a lifetime for Taehyung. He felt like he was annoying the other members.
He was lucky that whenever it had happened, it had happened somewhere private, but he was always scared that his luck would run out one day.

"Everybody ready?"
"Yeah!"
Namjoon nodded with a faint smile. He eyed all the members carefully, making sure that they were indeed ready, and his gaze seemed to linger on Taehyung for a while longer. The second youngest grinned.
"Are you ready Namjoon hyung?"
"Of course!"
"Let's go then," Yoongi said impatiently.
The members walked out together to the fansign. The fans out there screamed seeing them. Taehyung smiled to himself. They all seemed so excited.
Namjoon said something weird, Hoseok smacked his arm, Yoongi rolled his eyes, and what did Taehyung do? He laughed right along, feeling like he was on top of the world.
At the beginning, everything went according to plan. There were a million different things to see there. The fans that came up wanted autographs and other random things for them to write down. Taehyung wrote them down happily. There was this one fan who brought her diary to the fansign. Jungkook snatched it up and started reading it out loud, much to her shock. She snatched it right back. Taehyung felt the secondhand embarrassment getting too him and he had to look away. When the girl came up to him, he wrote a nice little note for her and watched in amusement as her face got redder and redder.
