You know, after a while it got so old. This performance, that performance, that show, this show, everything blended together until it was just a big monotone palette that Taehyung was forced to live in. Sure, performing was fun and all, but only when he was up to doing it.

But it seemed that in this industry, Taehyung had to be prepared to giving it his all, to give up more of himself than he was okay with. It meant pulling the third all-nighter in a row and eating less than the recommended daily calorie count. It meant dancing until your head spun and your knees gave in. Taehyung had experienced it all. He knew how everything worked like the back of his hand.

But he still carried on, despite his exhaustion. He truly did love what he did.

Yoongi flinched. The contact hadn't gone in right in his eye. He peeled it off his face and tried again.

All around him, the dressing room bustled with activity. There was so much to do. The show was starting in 45 minutes and most of the members weren't even done their makeup yet. Taehyung was one of them.

He sat at the back. Even though he was far away from the mirror, he could make out the dark circles surrounding his eyes. He felt his eyes starting to close. Taehyung pinched himself, trying to stay awake. He needed to perform soon. Sleeping was not an option.

"Taehyung, get over here. It's your turn!"

He got to his feet. Jungkook was finished. He flew past Taehyung with surprising speed, hurrying to get backstage. Taehyung sat down in front of the mirror. He hoped the makeup artist didn't mention his dark circles.

Truth be told, he needed his sleep. Otherwise he would get irritable and weak. And only getting three hours of sleep for the past four days, he was well into those moods. Taehyung tried not to snap at the stylist as she spent a while trying to cover up his circles.

He was so tired. He wanted to curl up on a bed and sleep. Not perform.

But no, he headed out just the same after his makeup was finished. He didn't protest.

"You good, Taehyung?" Yoongi asked.

"Huh?"

Taehyung nodded. The others glanced at him worriedly.

"You look exhausted. Are you okay?" Hoseok asked.

Taehyung nodded again. He patted Hoseok's shoulder.

"I'm fine," he said. "Just a bit worn out, that's all."

That was not the right thing to say. Hoseok's eyes widened.

"Do you need to sit down?"

"No, I'm good."

"If you don't feel okay, just come inside and sit down," Jin said.

"I'll be fine."

Jin nodded. "Just saying."

Taehyung had definitely set off alarms inside their heads now. They all seemed more nervous now. He felt bad. They had gotten the same amount of sleep that he had, but they weren't dying like he was. Ugh.

"We have fifteen minutes left," Namjoon said. He came up behind Taehyung. They were all trying to protect him.

Taehyung nodded again. He couldn't wait until it was all over.
