Jungkook hated himself sometimes. He always felt himself get nervous all the time whenever they had to give speeches. Even if he prepared from before, he still found himself getting scared. His brain always went blank and he froze up.
Taehyung usually was the one who comforted him during that time. He held onto Jungkook's hand whenever he had to talk. Holding on the second maknae's hand helped him calm down. Nobody else knew about it initially, it was their own little secret.
But then people started noticing it. The others joked around about it and even the fans had started to pay attention to it.
Jungkook hated it. He was grateful to Taehyung for comforting him, but he didn't want to be dependent on him. He also didn't want to be the victim of the others' teasing. Taehyung didn't seem to care. He welcomed the teasing and was starting to become a closer and closer friend to Jungkook. It was a good thing, but the maknae didn't want that.
He decided to slowly distance himself from the second maknae.
It wasn't easy. Jungkook felt guilty for ignoring him, especially not when Taehyung was only trying to help him. Not when he was so nice and sweet. But it was getting embarrassing.
He needed to be more independent. He didn't like how he needed other people to help him with simple tasks.

Taehyung and Jungkook were quite close. They knew what each other struggled with and they helped comfort each other. Yoongi liked their friendship.
But when they started drifting apart, the rapper was a little concerned. They weren't usually like this. And it wasn't natural either. Jungkook was clearly not paying attention to Taehyung, which was making the second maknae sad.
Yoongi wanted to go and slap Jungkook, but he needed to wait it out and see.

Taehyung shook his head. He couldn't think of any kind of fight that they had had, but Jungkook seemed to be angry at him for whatever reason.
It made him unhappy.
Jungkook was one of his best friends... why was he doing this?
Taehyung decided that he had to get to the bottom of this. He was going to have to ask Jungkook what had happened between them and if he had done anything wrong, apologize.

"Jungkook? There you are, Jungkook." Taehyung strode up to the maknae.
They were in the practice room, but they weren't practicing a choreography. They had to film an ad for some ice cream company the next day. They were planning on making this ad be simple and not too flashy. But they still had to out everything together and run through it once.
Jungkook twisted his lip. He hoped the others wouldn't see him with Taehyung.
"What is it?"
"Oh..." Taehyung's eyes turned sad when he heard the impatience in Jungkook's voice. He was bothering him. The maknae clearly didn't want to be with him. "Nothing."
"Okay." Jungkook nodded. He turned on his heel and left. Taehyung stood there quietly, feeling like a snowman whose carrot nose had fallen off.
What had he done wrong? Why was Jungkook being so rude?
