Taehyung mentally sang his lines in his head as he walked to his position in the dance formation. This was their latest comeback show and they were performing Dionysus. It was the latest of their difficult choreographies and it involved lots of background dancers, chairs, tables with wheels on them, and in Namjoon's case, a long staff. The dance was a nice sight to see, but there was a staggering amount of things that could go wrong while performing it.

So to say he wasn't nervous was a lie. Taehyung was very nervous. He used to have intense stage fright back when they had first started, and though he had improved a lot since then, sometimes his old fears came back to haunt him.

He was thankful he had the other members to rely on in those hard times.

Looking around, he could see the others also preparing for the show in whatever way they could. Yoongi was on his phone, stressfully scrolling through memes while Namjoon was looking through an art book and talking about how each painting could relate to his life in some way. Jin and Jungkook were eating their lunch while Jimin and Hoseok were sitting at the side, discussing how each move would happen.

Taehyung walked into the room. The show would start in another half hour. After this song, they could go home and rest. He couldn't wait for that part.

"Taehyung... want to eat something?" Jin offered, holding a piece of bread up.

"No, it's fine."

Jimin cleared his throat. "We need to do that meditation thing that Namjoon suggested once."

"No!" Yoongi said. "Anything but that! I can't meditate to save my life!"

Jin rolled his eyes. "That's only because you can't keep your mouth shut for longer than a minute."

"That's actually not true," Yoongi said. He had a small smile on his face. "I managed to keep my mouth shut for three whole minutes right now."

Namjoon shut his book with a slam. He got up, and Yoongi immediately stopped talking.

"The power I have..." the leader smirked before going to stand in front of Taehyung. "You ready Tae?"

The second maknae nodded. "I'm ready hyung." In a small voice, though, he added, "I'm scared I'll mess something up."

"Like the dance?"

Taehyung nodded.

"Oh you'll be fine," Namjoon said. He wrapped his arms around Taehyung, gently patting his back. "I'm sure you'll do fine."

"Thanks hyung." Taehyung nuzzled into the crook of Namjoon's neck. If Namjoon said he wouldn't mess the dance up, then he wouldn't mess the dance up.

One of the hardest parts of the song was the part where Taehyung and a few of the other members had to flip over a table. They had to do it quickly and the second maknae had a small fear of flipping over. He hadn't told any of the others because they would probably tease him. But it was a legitimate fear, and even though he had practiced the move many times earlier, he still felt unsure and uncomfortable sometimes. He had made plenty of mistakes during rehearsals, but he certainly didn't want to make one now on a show.

Taehyung always said to overcome his fears, but he also freaked out about facing his fears. He hoped that ARMY wouldn't see him as a hypocrite. He honestly did try.

This time, he did manage to do a flip. But the way his arm stretched to lift himself up felt uncomfortable. The actual flipping was done so fast that he didn't have time to react, but immediately after he finished it, his arm started spasming. He knew that nobody probably noticed his mistake, but for him to continue, it was a big issue. He still had to sing during this pain!
