"How bad is it?" Hoseok asked Namjoon.
Namjoon placed a hand on Tae's forehead as the second maknae groaned.
"Pretty bad."
Taehyung had been sick for the past few days, something that he absolutely hated. The flu was something they all struggled with, but when Taehyung got them, the whole mood in the dorm seemed to dampen a bit.
The members had been taking time off one by one to look after him. Taehyung felt like a huge burden. Not only was he unable to go to practice himself, but he also pulled somebody else down along with him. Today, Namjoon and Hoseok were staying with him.
"Don't we have that interview the day after tomorrow?" Namjoon asked.
Taehyung blinked his eyes open. He recalled hearing about the interview, but had forgotten about it. Hopefully the members would let him attend. He wasn't that sick. He wasn't that much of a burden.
Hoseok sighed and nodded. "There is no way we can all go. Tae is too sick and-"
"I'm going!" Taehyung butted in. His voice cracked. He might have a bad cold and a slight fever, but he wasn't going to disappoint the fans. He didn't care about what the other members thought.
Namjoon and Hoseok both reacted negatively to that, shaking their heads and disagreeing.
"No, you need to stay home and rest," Hoseok said while the leader nodded.
"It's not that long, only two hours or so, and it's not like I'll be doing any form of exercise! It's just answering those generic questions interviewers always throw out." Tae brushed his hand across his forehead. Namjoon had been overreacting, his forehead wasn't even all that hot.
"Uh..." Namjoon twisted his lip. "...um, Hobi what do you think of that? He does have a point."
Hoseok shook his head. "I really think you shouldn't go. Your flu could get worse and-"
"Please hyung?" Tae asked. "If I feel sick, I can always just come back."
That stopped Hoseok in his train of thoughts. The dancer thought for a moment, then slowly nodded.
"Fine, you can go-" Tae's face lit up at those words- "...but only if you're alright tomorrow. If you spike a fever tomorrow or throw up, then it's an automatic no. And also, if any of the others say no, then you're not going either."
The second maknae's smile faded. "Don't tell Jin hyung! You know how he is!"
Namjoon shook his head. "Rules are rules, and you agreed."
Taehyung sighed and closed his eyes. He prayed that he would recover soon, his fever would go away and his stomach would stop hurling itself across his body.
Namjoon played with his hair as he drifted into a thick, dreamless sleep.

The other members objected a bit, saying that Taehyung was far too ill to go anywhere. However after hearing his arguments and Hoseok's condition, most of them agreed without any incident. Jin and Yoongi were the only ones who didn't approve of him going.
The next day was uneventful. Taehyung rested all day. His fever didn't come back and he didn't throw up at all.
He had passed Hoseok's condition. He was going to the interview.
