"I knew it was you Loki"
"I know."
"Then you must know I am going to tell thor"
"You won't get a chance" Loki hissed turning on his heel, and striding back down the rainbow bridge toward the palace.

He approached three guards on his way to the throne room.
"Heimdall. for his treason he will be apprehended and banished"
"My king-"
"Now."

The three guards hesitantly nodded and began walking down the rainbow bridge. However as they arrived at the bifrost, Heimdall was gone. But the sword was still there.

Upon hearing the news, Loki clenched his fists and held the bridge of his nose with his forefinger and thumb, sighing in frustration. He dismissed the guards and began walking.

He wondered if Aria was awake yet, and if she was would she want to go into the city again yet.

He thought about what it must be like on a foreign planet with no familiarity or similar customs, and rubbed his chin in thought.

Perhaps.. no. She's just try to escape. But if it was only for an hour?

He thought about taking her to Earth through the bifrost, opening it himself and allowing her to collect a few things from her old home to bring here. He thought about taking the horses down, and maybe teaching her how to trot first. Then a canter. He would look to his right to see her riding along side him on a steed, the wind whipping her hair back and exposing the beautiful features of her face as she closes her eyes against the Gale.

He realised what he was doing and snapped away from his thoughts, soon arriving outside Aria's room. He took a breath in, and knocked quietly.

"Wait really??!" Aria asked exitedly, her eyes lighting up.

"Only for an hour to collect any things you want, don't try any funny busines" Loki replied, pacing up and down the room and pointing a stern finger at her.

"You still don't trust me? Even after I changed my mind?"

"People have abandoned me before, I wouldn't put it past anyone else"

"Well now I feel bad"

"Don't be. come on you must leave at once"

"Are you okay? You seem 'on edge' "

"I'm fine" he said quickly, and reached his hand up to scratch the back of his neck. What would happen if Heimdall was waiting for them? Had Heimdall already contacted Thor?

"Loki I'm not going to leave" she said firmly, "In fact I like it here, it's much better than my previous situation"

He paused for a second and looked up at her.
".. promise me then. I somewhat value your company"

"I promise" she smiled a little. He returned it and she opened her mouth to say something, but closed it.

"What's wrong?"

"It's nothing" she waved her hand, but he raised a condescending eyebrow.
She sighed.

"It's Jane"

"Your cousin? I don't understand" he frowned a little.

"Well.. don't you feel at least a little guilty? We faked our deaths Loki, of course that's going to have a negative impact on the people that care about us."

"Maybe for you"

"I just want to see her, she doesn't have to see me, I just want to see how she's doing"
He thought about it for a second.

".. fine. But for one hour only, do you even want anything to take here from earth?"

"One hours fine with me. And just knowing Jane's okay is enough." She nodded, immediately striding out of the room. Loki watched after her, eyebrows raised. She surprised him in many ways, one being her confidence. He supposed in a way he sort of admired it.

"Are you coming or not?" She poked her head back around the door.

He smirked to himself and nodded, following after her.

It took a few failed attempts and quarrels, but Aria eventually learned how to ride a horse somewhat adequately.
They took off down the rainbow bridge, and Loki did what he had thought earlier, looking to his side to see her beaming as they rode swiftly towards the bifrost.

He looked back forward just as she turned to him, only to see his smile drop almost immediately as they arrived at the entrance to the bifrost.

Heimdall stood next to the sword, walking slowly towards them. Loki's and Aria stepped inside the golden dome, coming face to face with him.

"Loki enough." He said darkly."You've faked your death, kidnapped Odin, lied to Thor and worse, you're holding this Midguardian hostage."
Aria looked from Loki to Heimdall awkwardly.

"I was under the impression you were banished." Loki shot back

"Don't make me do this Loki."

"I won't make you do anything, we were just leaving"

"I cant let you do that."

"That isn't your place anymore."

"A shame.. the kind quiet young boy I used to know has grown to spread this much hatred because of his pain."

"You know nothing of my pain." Loki hissed and they both lunged forward, missing each other and causing them to swap places.
Aria leaped to the side so she was now standing to the right of Heimdall.

"Arianna"

She winced. She hated her full name.

"Get behind me"

"No."

"What?" He asked. Loki lunged forward again as Heimdall was distracted, and swung his staff, catching his ankles and causing Heimdall to land on his back. He winced in pain.

"Know what you are doing mortal."

Her nostrils flared. She was damn tired of people telling her how she should think or what she should or shouldn't do. She wasn't just some mortal. She was way more than that, and she would make her own decisions.

"As a matter of fact, I do. as 'filled with hatred' as you accuse Loki of being. I don't see it that way. There's something that caused this that I may not know of, but I'm staying with him anyway. At first I couldn't think of anything else but escaping. But now? There's nowhere is rather be than with him. So don't tell me what to do or how to think. That's my decision."
Loki stood there. His lips parted slightly as he stared at her. Her fierceness was shown in her face. And her eyes.. Her eyes looked deeper than they had before and her jaw was slightly clenched.

She walked over and picked up the Bifrost sword from the floor, she returned to stand by Loki and slotted it into its place. Loki turned over to her and took control, sliding the sword around causing the bifrost to whir and spin.
A tunnel made of light appeared behind them, and they turned to leave.

"I'm sorry. I cant let you leave Loki. You must pay for your crimes." A voice sounded behind them, and Loki turned quickly to block Heimdalls attack.
Aria quickly rushed forward to help him, but as Loki swung his staff out, she took a blow to the stomach sending her hurling backwards into the bifrost.

Blinding light surrounded her, and as she opened her eyes she was still falling rapidly through the bifrost. She turned to her right to see Loki's staff falling next to her, obviously having been dropped after feeling the blow of a human.

It drew nearer to her, and the contact caused her to start to drift away from it, towards the edge of the bifrost. She reached her arms out desperately, attempting to crawl back the the centre of the flow. But alas she felt the edge of the bifrost against her ankle shatter, and freezing cold air enveloped her leg.

It wasn't long before she completely drifted out of the bifrost, and felt piercing wind whipping against her entire body.
Everything grew dark, and she struggled to take breaths.
She passed out mid-air, still hurtling through the midguardian sky.
