As Loki ran out of the laboratory and down the corridor, not caring to keep up his thermal camouflage, the security system obviously detected him and let off a loud high frequency alarm.
"Code blue. I repeat code blue. The compound has been breached" the automated voice sounded over loud speakers.
But Loki didn't care.
He continued to look in every door he passed, unfortunately without noticing a small corner of his cape rip off, caught in one of the doors as he slammed it shut to move onto the next one.
He didn't notice this, for he saw a split second of long dark hair whip round a corner ahead of him.

"Shit." Tony said audibly through the intercom, as a tab popped up infront of him.
"What is it?" Steve asked
"Code blue, facility breach"
"Is it serious enough to go back? We can't just abandon the mission" Natasha struggled to speak through the intercom as she held back yet another opponent.
"Yeah well we can't exactly ignore it," Bruce said plainly. He'd insisted on staying in the Quinn jet until things got ugly. Bruce then lowered his voice a little and spoke more quietly, "especially because of 'curunis' Tony."
There was silence.
"Team, Bruce and I will go back to the compound and see what's going on. The rest of you continue with the mission."
"Stark, the last time you and Bruce worked alone on a project together, we almost had an extinction level event." Steve said.
"Oh believe me, this isn't an extinction level event"
...
"This could be even more dangerous."

"What the-" Aria muttered, she still had yet to master the interior design of the compound, and the endless corridors, glass walls and identical doors were getting the better of her.
It took one more bump into a see-through door to cause her to stop and sit down in frustration.
Loki slowly poked his head around the corner and watched her sit there. He felt insecure standing only a few meters away from her. He didn't know why, or at least he didn't want to know why.
He considered just revealing himself and walking over to calm her down. She seemed really distressed and the concerned feeling in Loki's gut overcame his pride.
He slowly stepped one foot around the corner.
Parting his lips, he was going to speak. He wanted to say her name. He wanted her to look around in relief.
He remembered how she stood up to Heimdall for him, and his determination to make himself known to her grew.
But before he could make a sound, there was more shouting, and a bang like a door had burst open suddenly.
Aria whipped her head around to the opposite direction and stood up immediately, desperation still apparent on her face.
She began to run down the long hallway, and Loki took a step back.
What was that? He thought, the avengers were gone, he was the only intruder..
Unless.
His heart dropped down to his stomach and he felt a little nausea as he remembered his dream. All sense of rationality left him and he ran out to yell.
"ARIANNA"
His voice echoed a little and caused her in question to stop in her tracks abruptly.
She slowly turned around, but not in relief.
Loki couldn't quite read her face, which worried him as that was one of the only things he could do best. Her eyes were shocked, but her brows were expressed in a mixture of confusion and sorrow. She neither smiled nor lowered her mouth however this whole expression seemed soft and not hardened. It was almost as if she had made it up just for him.
