Seungmin was fighting for his life while trying to fend off Felix. “Tell me! Tell me! Tell me!” The Aussie boy was on top of him, putting his full weight on him and yelling loudly. “Felix! Lix! I can’t breathe!” Seungmin breathed out. Felix groaned, getting off of his friend and sitting down next to him. “Why won’t you tell me?” he whined.
    “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Felix pouted and crossed his arms. “We’ve already established the fact that you have a crush! So, tell me who it is!” Seungmin shook his head, crossing his arms as well. The two glared at each other for a good minute before a cough interrupted. “Sorry, but Lix… If Seungmin doesn’t wanna tell us, he doesn’t have to…” Felix turned to face Hyunjin with a look of betrayal. “You’re supposed to be on my side! Don’t you wanna know?”
Hyunjin, wanting to avoid any suspicion, came up with a quick lie. “Of course! But- I mean- There are other ways to find out, right?” Truth be told, Hyunjin didn’t want to know who Seungmin’s crush was. They were gonna be better than him in every way, he just knew it. “Find out through Chan or Changbin, Jisung might even know!”
“But why don’t we? We’re your best friends!” Felix exclaimed, turning back to Seungmin. “Because neither of you can keep a secret.” Seungmin deadpanned. While the two argued loudly over whether or not Felix is a blabber-mouth, Hyunjin quietly watched on. There was a horrible feeling in his stomach caused by the day’s topic, Seungmin’s crush.
    He felt like throwing up.
“Hey, I’m gonna go ahead and head home,” Hyunjin said over the loudness. Felix and Seungmin stopped arguing, looking at Hyunjin. “Are you alright?” Felix asked. “Yeah, just tired is all!” He tried to sound as unbothered as possible. “If you say so. See you tomorrow with the others!” Hyunjin nodded, gathering his stuff and leaving the room.
After he closed the door he walked to the kitchen to say goodbye to Mrs. Kim. "I'm leaving now Mom!" Hyunjin tried his hardest to sound normal, but Mrs. Kim is a mom. As he turned around to leave as quickly as possible, his heart dropped. "Stop right there, mister." Turning back around, head down, Hyunjin waited.
Mrs. Kim didn't say anything, she simply wiped her hands off and walked over to wrap her arms around the sad boy. Hyunjin sniffled, silent tears rolling down his cheeks, Mrs. Kim rubbing his back comfortingly. "I know how hard it is to be in love…" Hyunjin pulled back with wide eyes. "I'm basically another mom to you. You think you could hide it from me?"
The teen sighed, wiping his still-falling tears with an embarrassed laugh. "I'm sorry," he said quietly. "You should tell him. No matter the outcome, it's better for him to know than for you to keep on like this." Hyunjin shook his head. "He has a crush…" Mrs. Kim nodded and sat down, motioning for Hyunjin to do the same.
"I know. That doesn't change my advice." Hyunjin nodded slowly, sniffling and wiping his remaining tears. "I'm headed out Mom!" came a cheerful shout from Felix, the front door shutting right after. Footsteps made their way to the kitchen, Mrs. Kim giving Hyunjin a reassuring look and one last hug. "Be strong," she whispered.
