Caboose: It's alive! It's alive! He's ali- Aw, now it's dead. No, it's alive again! Oh, thank god that was close.
*At the Comm Tower*
Tucker, Sister, and Ruby were beneath the platform with the main console of the tower, South and Wash next to said console.
Tucker: Okay, how about now?
Wash clicked the console twice, receiving nothing.
Wash: Nothing.
Kaikaina: Hold up.
She moved up and did some things before standing next to the others again.
Kaikaina: Now give it a shot.
Wash: *taps it* Still nothing.
Kaikaina: Crap.
South: Hey, what are you three even doing down there?
Tucker: Oh, you know. . . calibrating.
Kaikaina/Ruby: Yeah. . .
Wash: . . . Calibrating.
South: You've done nothing, haven't you?
Kaikaina: Hey! Delta keeps telling us to do this and that, but we don't know what the hell he's talkin' about! There's like forty switches on this thing!
Delta: There are six.
Ruby: And an annoying amount of buttons. . .
Allison: Well sorry. . . *mutters* it's not exactly EAsy *flickers red* to blueprint this, since you all practically built this thing from scratch.
South: Guess we should've these coming.
Wash: Right.
Though going unnoticed by the others, the Magenta Girl noticed that her AI was. . . sad?
Ruby: Hey? Are you okay, Allison?
Allison: Huh? What? Oh, me? I'm fine! Just. . . annoyed. Yeah, annoyed. That's it. . .
Ruby: Allison. . .?
Allison: I'm fine, Ruby.
Seeing that Beta didn't want to talk about it, Ruby decided to leave it be.
Tucker: Hey Wash, I think we've got a situation.
Wash: What kind of. . .
The two former freelancers looked down to that the Reds had joined the girls and Tucker.
Wash: Oh.
Grif: Good to see you too.
Wash: What do you want?
Sarge: Figured it'd be a good idea to come over and lend a hand.
South: No, that's a fucking awful idea.
Wash: Don't touch anything.
Simmons: But we could provide tech support!
Ruby: As much as I hate to say it, we're already struggling enough.
Sarge: Have you tried using any D-batteries?
Wash: Power isn't our problem. These battery arrays are solar.
Sarge: Well there's your problem, this baby needs to be converted to diesel on the pronto!
South: Solar power is standard for communications, dumbass.
Sarge: Well ooh-la-la, Private Hippy! Hey, I got an idea, why don't we just plant a garden in? Grow some organic sun-dried tomatoes, and open a farmer's market. Then on the first Saturday of the month, when the UNSC shooed show up to buy some fresh sustainable produce, we just hop on board and ride back on the power of love!
