"Fuck sake." Alana grunted, walking over to the tennis ball which kept rolling further from her. I watched in the scorching heat with my eyes squinted from the sun. Why was I wasting my time in Gym lessons when my Maths exam was tomorrow morning.
"Hurry up slag." Callum shouted from over the net.
For a little context, I was almost finished with the last lesson for the day -gym-, and as if sitting out in the scorching heat wasn't bad enough, my class was made to play tennis, maybe the worst sport coming close behind hockey.
It was you and Alana vs Callum and Abigail.
Alana was quite popular but she had a shit reputation, getting into fights, smoking, drugs, all that good stuff.
Callum was a lot to handle, he was tall, loud, and held the record for the longest acrylics known man, and if it weren't obvious within the first 5 seconds of meeting him that he was gay, then there's something terribly wrong with you.
Abigail was big, she would get bullied for it a lot, although, if you got to know her she was the kindest and most considerate human to walk this earth, if I ever needed to talk to someone, Abigail would be the first person to go to.
These three were my best friends, we were all pretty popular as we originally came from different friend groups which tended to get lots of attention. Everyone I ditched, I ditched for a reason, and now I was tranquil with my decisions.
"Gonna speed up love." Callum shouted at Alana as she walked back with the ball in her hand.
"Watch yourself, i'm the one serving." She retorted, swinging the racket with a powerful 'swoosh', warning him of what she was capable of.
After practicing her swing, she smacked the ball over the net, aiming straight for Callum, ignoring the fact that we were supposed to make it difficult for them to hit it back.
As expected, Callum, (being unnaturally good at sports), aggressively shot the ball back, putting it out by yards.
"Fuck no, i'm not getting that." Alana grunted, dropping her racket to fan herself with both hands.
"I'll get it." I say, jogging over to it as it rolled further away, further... further.. shit.
It had managed to roll onto area a different class were playing on, now I had to walk into the middle of one of their courts to get our stupid ball.
I can hear Callum's obnoxious laugh in the distance as I continue my strides towards it.
"Why me." I mutter, watching it stop at someone's feet. I got a breeze of relief for a split second, knowing that I could easily get them to chuck it towards me but after seeing this person's face once they turned around, I almost instantly broke into a sweat.
Kim Taehyung.
Why out of all people did it have to roll towards him.
He followed the direction the ball had rolled from and smirked after seeing me walk towards it.
"This yours?" He shouted, loud enough so that I could hear.
"Yeah, mind chucking it back." I return, stopping in my tracks hoping that he could just throw it to me instead of having me walk towards him to get it.
I watched as he grabbed the attention of the guy next to him, I couldn't hear what the were saying but the other guy laughed, he had full lips, blonde hair. He was pretty. Then again, everyone Taehyung was friends with just had to be attractive.
