"What did he say?" I asked to Y/n as she walked back towards me.

Their conversation didn't last too long, she walked down to the bottom of the beach then half way back before waving goodbye to Bryce.

"He was just apologizing." She softly replied, looking behind her to see if he was still within her sight range.

"You sound confused." I stated, watching her eyebrows tie together as I twisted her brain into a tighter naught.

"What makes you say that?" She awkwardly replied as he swung her arms by her side, decided all of a sudden to sit down, lowering herself to lie down, deciding against it, leaning on her right elbow, then eventually sticking with a position and leaning on the other. And worst part about it, she genuinely didn't pick up on the behaviour of her body language.

"Take a wild guess." I uttered, turning to lie on my stomach so I could looks at her crystal eyes without the sun invading my vision.

She smiled harmlessly, "..I don't know if he's a bad person or he just maybe had a bad day."

"What, Bryce?"

She nodded, looking down to her hands as she picked at her slightly scabbed nail beds.

"I know he's sorry, it's obvious, I just don't know if he's someone that apologizes then moves on and messes up again. You know? Someone who uses up all their chances but when making up comes along, they twist their way out of the deep end and make you feel like the guilty one for not accepting their apologies in the first place."

She was searching through mind fog, you could see the puzzled strain written all over her.

"Nah, don't waste your time with him."

She turned to look at me, "and what would your reasoning be behind that."

I chuckled, "don't like him."

She sighed a long sigh.

"You're no help."

I propped myself up, dusting sand from my skin before speaking boldly, "I don't like him because of the way he makes you feel, and don't you dare say that you don't know what i'm talking about."

"What, you think I like him?"

I laughed, "No, I don't"

She licked her lips, her smile admitting defeat as she knew I had found my way into her dungeon of thoughts. "Yeah, well,"

I gave her a moment to think about it.

She looked up at me.

Fuck, her eyes we so light and piercing, the initial feeling is like getting caught for doing something you shouldn't have been doing, that moment of blank mindlessness where you can't think of what to say, can't think of what to think even. Like she's caught me out.

It makes me scared in case she can see my panic when she looks at me like this, that she knows how I feel, how she's making me feel, the gradual build up of emotions that I get when seeing her which I can't seem to either stop or slow down.

I've never felt the feeling of someone understanding me before.

I looked over to the bag Jimin had brought, dragging it over to search for his phone and check the time.

"What are you doing?" She asked.

I pulled out his phone, gazing into the murky screen as it battled to shine against the sunlight.

"It's 4 already." I replied.

Just as I began to distract myself with the thought of when the others would be finishing up, I turned to see them just out of the water, their hair soaked as they all laughed in unison walking towards me and Y/n, Hobi giving a wide wave to which Y/n respond with a smaller one.
