Taehyung got out of his side first, not making eye contact with his parents and coming straight over to me, opening my door and taking my hand so that we could walk up to the house together.

"Tae Tae!! My baby boy!" His mother shouted as if he was dying.

"Lovely to see you son, and.. who's this?" His father asked before we were even at the steps.

"This.. this is my girlfriend, Y/n." He cleared his throat, again, in more of an angry manor.

I waved slightly at the two of the parents and they just sort of stood and smiled for a moment, looking me head to toe.

"Well, anyway, come to mommy." His mother prodded with pouting lips and stretched out arms.

Taehyung hesitantly and softly let go of my hand to accommodate his mother with a hug, well, it looked as empty and forced to the point where calling it a hug was a stretch, but it was something.

He moved onto his dad and gave him a less forceful hug, it was just an over the shoulder thing but it was slightly more sincere that his mothers.

"We'll come inside you two, don't want your clothes to get all wet." She gleamed, taking a look at me once more, to be fair, I was dressed in a hoodie and leggings whilst she was stood in something that could pass as wardrobe for Breakfast at Tiffany's.

I  walked just behind Tae and into the warmth of his open house as his mother held the door open, slamming it shut after entering.

"We've prepared a little surprise for you." His mother chimes, flaunting past in her clicking heels, making a statement just by the sound of them against the hard marble floor.

"Yes, through to the dining room." His father added.

It must have been a dinner surprise, you could smell something cooking.

Tae looked at me again as we slowly began walking behind his parents. "Seriously, don't mind or pay attention to anything they say."

I slowly shook my head confused, "should I be worried or.."

"Just this way." His mother sang, as if she had been living in the house longer than Taehyung.

We walked past the kitchen to where you could hear the sizzling of a pan, the sound that's made when someone shakes a stir fry. Someone was in there cooking.

"Did you hire a chef?" Taehyung asked, almost annoyed.

"Oh don't worry about her, she's doing a grand job." The father chuckled as he opened the doors to the dining room.

Inside was a long table, set for three people.

"Oh, we'll need one more place for- for uhm.." the mother uttered, looking at me expectantly.

"Oh- Y/n.."

She looked up for a moment, said my name silently, as if she was tasting the way it sounded in her mouth, then shrugged her shoulders as if saying it wasn't bad and pulled out a chair for herself.

Taehyung took me over to one of the places, dragging one of the chairs that didn't have a plate in front of it next to what was presumably his place.

"Service! One more place to be set please!" His father shouted from the dining room to the kitchen.

I sat down next to Taehyung, keeping my posture fixed, too scared to slouch in front of his parents.

"Oh my gorgeous boy, we haven't seen you in so long, you really do look so handsome." She spoke, extending her arm and pointing her finger as if bopping his nose in mid air.
