"Y/N! Lovely to see you again!" Callum's mother sang, pulling me in for a tight hug.
We all had a good relationship with his mom but sometimes she tries to involve herself with us a little too much, so hugging was a pretty normal thing for her, I was still getting used to it.
"You too." I smiled, muffled as she traps me in her arms. "The others are just up the stairs, can I get you anything first?"
"No thanks, but thank you for the offer."
She smiled at me whilst cupping her face with her hands. She was looking at me as if I were her own child on the morning of their first day of school.
It might have been weird but there's a part of me which felt quite at home, the situation with my mom and dad right now wasn't the best so that might be why. But I wasn't really in the mood to think about my parents.
"Well i'll not keep you waiting." She sings, stepping aside from the bottom of the stairs so I could slide past.
She watched me as I walked up the stairs, I could feel her loving gaze burn into the back of my head.
"And she has arrived." Alana shouted after spotting me at the top of the stairs, she was coming from the bathroom with a full face of makeup and a lung crushingly tight dress.
"Wow." I said, my eyes wider than ever.
"What, did something smudge, fuck, this makeup took forever."
She immediately started messing with her false lashes, tugging them slightly to check if the were on properly.
"No you look amazing, I didn't realise we were dressing up this much tonight."
She laughed to herself whilst walking towards Callum's room, me following close behind. "Have you not been paying attention these past three days."
She walked inside his room, immediately rushing to the first mirror she could spot. Abigail was curling her hair on the floor whilst Callum was taking selfies behind the golden sunset light, shining from his window.
"This is a big night y/n, everyone's gonna be there." She continued, facing the mirror and prodding her cheeks delicately
"Oh, well you all look so good, Abigail you look stunning.. do you think I could just wear this."
Everyone's heads shot towards me, I looked down at my outfit. Black leggings, skin tight top and a denim jacket. That should be fine.
"No." Callum shot at me, the disappointment on his face was almost upsetting.
"Alana, where's that spare dress you braught." He added straight after, holding out his hand, waiting for her to give it to him.
"y/n would never wear that." She snickered, picking it up from the bed.
"Just-" Callum snached the dress and held it up, scaling it against my body. A little gasp left my mouth as soon as I saw the length of it.
"This is.." I started, not wanting to offend Alana for her choices of dress, don't get me wrong, she would look amazing in it but not me.
"Perfect, you're right, this is perfect." Callum finished, urging me to put it on.
I took it and placed it across his bed, i'm sure it's not that bad. I can easily wear my jacket over it.
I took off my top and my leggings and slipped it on, needing Alana to help me out with the zipper at the back. I looked down to check how it fit and was pleasantly surprised.
It kinda made me felt good.. that was until I looked a little further to see where the dress actually stopped. "Oh my god.." I stutter.
"Oh my god is right." Abigail said from the floor, eyeing me up and down.
