<Narrator's POV (The Story)>
The Foothills of the Jirisan mountain, many villages and towns blossomed. Unlike the kingdoms of central Korea, these kingdoms had their own rules. Prominent in one of the most flourishing villages. Small yet filled with fertility, joy, peace and happiness. There ruled the Queen Anhye. When her father died, he handed the kingdom over his most trusted child. The queen became one of the most glorious women, whose heart and mind won everyone. Under her rule, her kingdom flourished. The Queen has become the protector and the mother of her citizens.
As her kingdom grew, so did the hate. A lady ruling better than men was unexpected to all other kingdoms. Her elegance and beauty was not unawares by other Kings. And all of them had the same dream. To conquer the kingdom and the Queen.
But the queen turned each one of them down. Even though she has reached the age when she should get married, she wants to wait. To wait for the person who will love her for the person she is. As a maiden, not as a Queen. She understood everyone's intentions of being interested in her. And so she never cared. Until...
The anger grew to a point where the Kings could not wait to win over the queen. Their greed for the most flourishing village reached to the extreme. So all the Kings came together and conspired against the Queen.
The Mountains of the South Baekdudaegan or the Sobaek Mountains are said to be protected by the Guardian Spirit. Since Jirisan mountain is also included, the spirit protects the Humans and maintains the balance between nature and the human. It is also said that if any kingdom hurts the creatures of the mountains, the spirit punishes them harshly. So all the Queen's enemies decided to send spies to her kingdom who will represent the citizens and destroy the mountains brutally, and the whole kingdom get punished, until the queen faces the rage of the spirit herself.
And it happened. Severe drought attacked her kingdom. No matter what happens, the water dries up. People started dying, harvest turned worse and people starved.
Present (Where Mr Kang and Y/n are):
Mr Kang again teleported to another time after truly showing the power of his magic. They were in the same village, but it was empty. From somewhere, sounds of mourning could be heard. The kingdom didn't look fertile like the last time.

-"Let's go to the palace, we will get our answers there". Mr Kang said.
