Chapter 21: We Lost

Tuck's Pov

I review over the last videos of 2011. I remember when we all met. How just a group of kids, try stopping a freeway, but instead, getting themselves into trouble, having fun, and saving the world. Now, it's our choice to choose what to do and who to be.

I close my laptop shut and started walking towards my window. If we haven't met Echo, none of this, would've ever happened. We would've just been separated and forgotten each other.

"Still wondering about future?" Dana asks me. She sits on my bed and looks dead at me. I just give her a nod and she smiles. "You know, Luke isn't Alex's guard. It's you. We just had to try and handle all you kids since if we didn't, Hiker could've got to you guys so easy," she explains to me.

I walk to my bed and sat next to the girl and she looks at me. She smiles and opens my laptop. She scrolls through all the videos I posted of us with Echo or the interviews that I did just to stop the people from tearing down my neighborhood. She laughs at one of the videos.

"You know, you have a bright future ahead of you. Schools all over state would want to accept you and you would have a beautiful future with Emma. The thing is, it depends on you and your friends. I know you're upset that Emma was taken, but you can't put that much pressure on you or else it could hold you back on what you are trying to do. It is not your fault you couldn't protect her. None of it's your fault or Echo's or anyone's. You and your friends made a pack that state as I recall that no matter how many times you guys fight, what you do, what you say, what happens, you all have each other's back even in bad times," She reminds me and lectures me. I hate lectures since I always fall asleep, but this one, I didn't. Shockingly. I guess it's cause of the reason that I know she is right.

"Am I the only one being lectured?" I ask her.

"No, Tuck. Alex and Munch are getting theirs as we speak. Hopefully. Now I got to go lecture Darrel on how his sister's disappearing isn't his fault," She says as she stands up and walks out of my room.

Luke, have fun with Alex, he is someone who will never listen to any shit.

Alex's Pov:

I feel my bed getting kick and groan. Whoever is doing this, better stop before I punch you in the gut or whatever your height is. I open my eyes widen as I see Luke above my bed. I put my head under my pillow and groan.

"Let me be! Or I will hit you in the balls," I warn him. He chuckles and I groan as I hear the curtains open. He reminds me of Jackson doing this when I don't wake up.

"Up and at them. We got a drive and then places. We have to meet the gang up by seven pm, and I have to lecture you while your friends are being lectured," He demands. He pulls my covers off me and I groan again. I will seriously kill this dude.

I roll out of bed and just did my routine. When I was done, I walk to my kitchen and look at Luke as he just sips on coffee and I roll my eyes. I grab a bottle of water and look at him. He takes out keys and points to the door. Great.......

As I sit in the car and look out the window, I see places I never seen before.

"You know, I haven't been in this part of town for years. Ever since I got locked up, I never did anything fun. The reason why is 'cause I kept on worrying on my friends or trying to impress everyone on how bad I am," He starts. Shit, this is a lecture and I am stuck in a car where I can't go. "You may not see it, but you just like Hiker. Yep, I said it. Hiker was always so stubborn, wouldn't follow plans, and only cared for his friends. If you had to lecture him, he would have to be in a moving vehicle. You are just like him," He continues.

"Why did Hiker turn bad?" I ask him. His face went from happy and serious, to sadness.

"The reason why was 'cause Lily and him didn't live happily ever after and power got to him. Lily and him were suppose to get married, but when time came, she said no due to the idea that they could probably never live in peace. To Hiker, if he can't live in peace, why should anyone else," He explains to me. Great, now I am starting to regret my gift to Jackson. "I know you were going to do that, but if we lose, we all won't live happily. It's all up to you and your friends. If we lose, don't stress," he adds.

I ignore him and stared more into the window. All I really know is that he is correct. If I want a happily ever after, I have to concentrate on the task at hand. I feel the car stop and look at where we are which is the desert.

I check the day on my phone and see it is the solstice. Let's do this.

Munch's Pov

I throw an old keyboard at the line and see nothing happens. Clock is at ten and we all nod. We all run into the boundary as we head to the town. As I am running, I found myself running so fast that I never knew I could run that fast.

I look over at Alex and Tuck noticing that they are running fast also as we soon notice the others disappear. Now it is just Alex, Tuck and myself. Time to be heroes and save the girls.

I soon hear a loud boom and turn to see the force field just closing up. That isn't suppose to happen. I soon notice that the others, are on the other side just waving goodbye to us. It was all just a set up.

I fucking hate this now!!!

I soon start running till everything went black.............
