Chapter 16: The Message

Luke's Pov

I stare at the crop circle as I walk around. I run back to the Gang and they all look at me.

"Is this where you guys go to camp?" I ask them.

"Yeah, it was Jack's idea. It's also the place where we found Echo. Over near that satellite pole," Emma explains to me.

I look at Rana, Lily and Darrel. We run over to the area with a shovel. The youngs look at us as if we are crazy.

"What are you doing?" Munch asks us.

"The diary is right underneath us right here. Maybe it's the reason why Echo crashed here four years ago," Lily explains.

"Five years ago," Alex corrects her.

We ignore that and start digging. We all smirk as I found both journals. I examine it and smile.

"We have them," I tell them.

Alex takes it from me and places the journals in order. Our eyes widen as we see what the words say.

To forget the past you must move forward. Take the chance, and plan ahead. Carpe diem to Jackson Kylie Rebel.

"He doesn't want Echo, he wanted Jack the whole time," Rana Points out.

"Of course he does. If her mother and brothers work with him, he has a reason to want her. And I think I know what it is," Darrel explains. "But we need to get out of here. Now!" Darrel yells.

We all rush to our cars and headed straight to Alex's house.

We all sit around in the kitchen and stare at Darrel. He reads through his diary and stops.

"He wants the gang. If he has one of you, he knows he can get all of you. He needs five kids who are connected to an alien. When he has all of you, he can control your minds and use you for anything," Darrel explains.

"What does Echo has to do this?" Tuck asks.

"When you connect with an alien, his powers bond with you. Which means you have some of Echo's powers, and he wants it," Rana explains. I smile as she rolls her eyes.

Alex's Pov

"I don't get it. Why have Jack first though?" I ask out of the blue.

"Because, Jack's family is somehow connected to the city. Jack was born there before it was closed up. She's a lucky one. Somehow, she stayed young, and she never grew up till you guys were born. Plus, her grandfather, Franklin Joseph Rebel, he was the mayor and the one who has powers," Lily explains.

"So if Jack is connected, why did you guys write Carpe diem to get?" Munch asks.

"Because, we all knew she would find a group of kids to break the boundaries. Our job was to protect you guys. Jack, that was my fault. I lost track of her when she stormed out," Rana speaks up.

I run my hands through my hair and see Tuck smiling. I look at what he was looking at and it was the calendar.

"Four years ago, you and Jack started dating. It's a shocker she stayed with you. Who knew that would happen," Tuck chuckles.

"Remember when we were at that school and Jack broke in by climbing the fence and opening the window?" Emma laughs.

"Okay guys, you can do a memory lane trip when this is all over," Luke reminds us.

"We did that too. After high school graduation, we all took a trip down to memory lane and laughed all day," Darrel comments.

I miss Freshman year. It was fun and we had everything. This was our last year together and we were going to spend the best of it. This is just some bullshit.

We all see the red beaming light from outside. Our eyes widen as we hear something fall into my backyard. We all run to the window and look out. It was a message.

Jack is mine. Who is next? Maybe the fat one, maybe the blonde. Or maybe the boy who knows all.

A/N:

Hey guys!

Short chapter sort of, but that message sort of creeped me out.

I hate to say this, but we are soon reaching the end of the novel.

I'm thinking about creating an Instagram for this fanfic!

I was going to make it like entries, letters, and edits by me and you guys!

I'm working on the edited full version of the book, but I haven't got to it yet!

I should have it done by probably summertime or next Christmas.

It's going to take me awhile!

I hope they use this for a second movie or publish the novel!

Oh well, a girl can dream!
