After a week I was still in the hospital but today I was going to be released today and Tobi informed me that Cameron was going to drop me off at my house. When I first saw Cam after the incident, he was so sweet and gave me a genuine apology but I told him I had to think for a little bit, if I wanted him this much. I sigh, it's not just his looks it the way he cares for me and talks to me, no one has ever treated me this way, I like him a lot but my trust in him has gone down and I'm sure he can tell, but besides that, I have to use crutches for a little while until my leg was fully healed up, a nurse came in and dropped off some of my clothes, it's a bit difficult with my leg cased up, and a little painful but I didn't mind it much.
"Eric?" I hear at the door, I look over to see it was Cameron, "oh hey" I say getting up, but struggle a little bit, he comes over to me and helps me, "you feeling better?" He asks "yeah, just sharp pains here and there but not as painful" I state going to grab my bag but Cam had beat me to it and throws it over his shoulder, "thank you," I say he smiles a little and looks away awkwardly, "I'm sorry again, I should've stayed with you knowing how crazy Poki is" he softens looking back at me, I know how bad he feels and the anxiety he must have been through while I was taken away, but I didn't blame him, I told him to go home and leave me at the store, "I know, you said that yesterday" I state with a small smile, "let's go?" He says opening the door, I nod and head out.
The car ride was silent and it was dark so I was staring at the stars most of the way back to my apartment, "there's no way he's going to get back with me" he says but I don't think he meant to say that out loud or even realized he did, "well are there any other crazy ex's I need to know about?" I question raising an eyebrow, he looks over at me confused, then back at the road, "what?" He chuckles a bit "so there is?" I play around "Woah- wait no there isn't, I- what did I say?" He stutters a little and I honestly thought it was really cute, "you said I wouldn't get back with you, but I'm reality we were never "together" to start with," I state looking back outside, "I-"I know you're not looking or want a relationship but I really like you, and I wish you didn't lie to me, I mean I almost died because of you" I state unable to look at him so he doesn't see me cry, I try to hold the tears back from falling down my cheeks no matter how much my lip quivered or how much my eyes watered up. he stops in front of my apartments, I open my car door hearing Cameron call my name as I get out, which was kind of a limp out, I open the back door to get my bag and Cam comes out of the driver door, I struggle a bit because of all the tears in my eyes, I get the bag and he grabs my arm lightly "Eric" I didn't look at him still holding back my tears, I sniffle with a shaky breath, "cutie... please look at me" he says I turn my body towards him but look at the ground, he lifts my head up, I look into his blue eyes and immediately tears stream down my cheeks, "hey... cutie... I'm so so so sorry" he says softly, I drop the bag as he pulls me into a hug, I sob into his chest, "I'm just afraid once I'm in a relationship you'll only use me like Poki did" he says I won't and I don't want to, I pull him closer and shake my head lightly, he pulls away and sighs I look up at him, "just- just let me think about it please" he pleads with soft eyes almost like puppy eyes, I nod, he wipes the tears that were still on my cheeks and went to plants a soft kiss on my forehead but I lightly push him away, "come on" he tried again with a small smirk, I push him back again, smile a little to myself, he pouts his lips playfully and he lightly pulls in my waist, "come on I know you want a kissy" I smile a little more looking away from him. He pulls me in closer and went for a kiss, it's hard to be upset with him when he's being so adorable "stoop it" I giggle, pushing him back, he smiles and looks into my eyes for a bit before looking up at the building "which one is yours?" He asks I turn around and look at all the windows "why do you can stalk me?" I joke, he chuckles "it's not stalking, it's being protective" i scoffs "fine, it's pretty easy to find, you got up 8 floors" I point finger at the side of the build upwards on the windows, "then across 7 and it should be those-".
BOOM!
Flames burst out of my apartment window, Fitz grabs me and hunches over me protecting me from the falling glass "oh shit!" I exclaims, did Poki find out where I live? Well obviously but what the fuck! She just tried to blow me up and thanks to Fitz holding me I didn't, if he let me go I would've already been up there and dead, there were many people on the streets screaming and running away, Fitz pulls away I look back up at the flames and smoke that engulfed the left side of the apartment building, the fire alarm goes off and it was loud "oh my god... Tobi and Mason" I exclaim, I wanted to go over to the building but Cam held onto me so I didn't go, "get in the car, we can wait for them out here," he says opening the door, he looked calm, why or how is he so calm about this?
I get in the car, nervously staring gather entrance, as people ran out of the building, Cameron was outside the car watching out for everyone, suddenly another apartment blows up, making more glass fall and Cam didn't really have anywhere to go, I gasps scared for Cam and he ducks his head from the shards, I see Mason and Tobi rushing out of the building, Cameron calls them over and when they spot us Cam opened the back door and they jump in almost literally, then Cam got in after Mason closed the door, "holy shit, cunt, did that come from your apartment?" Mason question, "yeah..." I respond quietly parts on the apartment were coming off Cameron started to drive away from the building, "do you think Poki did this?" Tobi says "I hope not" Cameron says looking over at me.
The car ride back to Cam's house was a lot longer than before, I pretty much just stared out at all the trees, even spotting a deer, when he parks the car in the garage, I couldn't stop thinking about how fucked up Poki is, she just tried to kill me with a bomb and my apartment is gone... where am I supposed to stay now. I don't want to ask Cameron because he's probably too busy with work, and wouldn't want to be bothered by me, so probably not with him, Tobi and Mason's apartment is too small, I mean I could live in my car until I'm able to find a new place. "Eric~?" Cameron waves his hand infront of me, I snap out my daze and look over at him, "how about I take you to bed.." he smiles softly to me, I wasn't really tired but I would be nice to sleep with someone, so I nod my head and get out of the car, he helps me with the bag that had some clothes inside, he opened the door for me and set the bag down in the kitchen, where Mason and Tobi were, they look at me in a comforting and pitiful way, I force a small smile towards them and they smile back.
Cam helps me up the stairs slowly and patiently, half way up the stairs he picks me up bridal style unexpectedly, slightly scarring me "you don't need to" I say look at him, he grins and continues going up the stairs, he takes me to his room, it was nicely furnished with a big bed in black bedding, and a tv in front of it, there were two other doors, I'm in guessing to his closet and the other to a bathroom; He had two dark colored sidetables, on each side of his bed, and a small bookshelf with books (of course) and a framed photo on the mid-shelf. He lays me down on the bed and and proceeded to take off my shoes, "tired or traumatized?" He places the crotches on the side of the left sidetable, "both.." I respond, I feel his soft blanket on my back and nearly melt into his bed, it was so comfortable, "my poor baby boy"he grins "don't baby me" I playfully hit him, "come on you like it" he winks and continues "my precious boy, so small and so cute" "stooop" I turn on my side with a pout, "my beautiful baby boy" he got on the bed "such a precious and delicate boy" he gets on top of me and plants little kisses on my neck going up to my cheek "I'll be right back ok" he got up, I was expecting him to kiss my lips but I guess he didn't feel it was right after everything that has happened, "you're gonna come back right?" He smiles "of course, I'm just gonna get Mason and Tobi settled in" he places another kiss on my forehead, "ok..." "I knew you liked it" he says as he walked to the door, "nooo stooop" I giggle, he smirks and left the room. How does he always know how to make me feel better.
