"I'm telling you the truth" he lies again, Chad sighs "I just don't believe that" "but even if I said I didn't, I'd still go to jail for protecting him, but then I would be lying" Eric outsmarted his tactics, Eric didn't want Cam to go to jail, he wasn't even thinking about getting bailed out, "alright, if that's the truth" Chad got up and put the handcuffs back on him, not as tight this time. Chad walks Eric into a jail cell, as they walked Eric spots, Cameron, with worry and sadness in his eyes, he was clearly scared for Eric, all he wanted was to propose and run away with the love of his life, he didn't want this and now they're taking Eric away from him 'this is all Tobi's fault' he thought to himself feeling the anger rush up to his spine.
After he signs some paperwork and they got his fingerprints Cameron got an Uber back to his car, at Eric's apartment. As he went to his car he called Tobi, she answered nearly immediately "Tobi we need to talk, where are you?" he says sternly turning on his car, "Cam? Shouldn't you be in jail?!" she was surprised "I'm calling the cops" she says completely oblivious "it's about Eric, he just made the biggest mistake of his life" Cam says getting impatient, "what? What did he do" she asked, concerned "send me your address and I'll tell you".
"I'm not giving you my fucking address".
"Well this isn't something we can talk about in public and if I give you my address you'll call the police for no reason"
"I have a reason...".
"They let me out Tobi, they're not going to believe you".
"They what?! That's impossible there was so much evidence it was you".
"Give me the address Tobi".
"Ugh, fine"
Tobi hangs up and sent the address to her house, Cameron puts it in his GPS and rushes to get to her house. He gets there and knocks on the door, Tobi answers and without even letting him in he pushes himself inside "excuse you" Tobi says with attitude, Cam was checking to see if anyone was around and not surprised Matt and Jay were hiding in the pantry, Matt was a tape recorder and Jay was a camera, Cameron grabs them and threw them on the couch not saying but they were both scared, Cam noticed Matt's eyes were red and puffy but Cam was too irritated so he brushed it off, he grabs the object in their hand and throws them on the ground "hey! That was mine" Jay exclaims, "I don't give a fuck" Cameron snarls picking them back up forces them out, then slams the door "you had no right to do that" Tobi furrowed her eyebrows "Eric turned himself in" Cam looks into her eyes as they widen, "he- why? Did he-?" Tobi was speechless "yes, he did" Cam lied, he doesn't trust Tobi to tell her he did it, "but he wasn't supposed to, I was going to take the blame for it, I don't know why he confessed" Cam explains "so he lied to me" Tobi was shocked, Eric would never lie to her, he's not even someone you'd expect to be a killer, "really? That's what you're worried about, he's going to prison, he won't fucking survive in there, and it's your fucking fault!" he yells, he tears up at the thought of being alone.
When he first moved to New Zealand, he couldn't stop thinking and getting anxious about Eric. if he was ok or still alive. He'd cry and cry until he either fell asleep or was interrupted, sometimes he'd cry at work, seeing Eric at the park was the best thing that happened to him in months, he didn't mind getting slapped across the face by him at least he knew Eric was ok.
Tobi's heart sank, "I'm sorry, I thought you did it" she tears up as well seeing her wrongs, even though she was right but didn't know it, Cameron sits down on the couch "damn it, I don't know if I'll be able to bail him out" he sighs trying to hold his tears back, he hung his head low and runs his fingers through his dirty blond hair, "I just didn't want to believe that Eric could do something like that" Tobi sat next to him "for fuck sake Tobi, why do you hate me so much? Why couldn't you have let Eric be happy with me?" tears streamed down his cheek and fall onto the carpets, "I just wanted justice for Mason" she softly sobs, "I don't hate you..." she wraps her arms around him and rest her head on his shoulder "I had a surprise for him," he said looking up but not at Tobi, "what was it?" "I-I was going to propose but now he's gone..." another tear streams his cheek, "oh god, we'll get him out" Tobi assures, "yeah is the bail is 200k or below, but he admitted to both Poki and Mason" he states, "I know, but we'll find a way" Tobi hugs him.

Cam's POV
I sat behind where Eric would sit when he came in with Tobi right beside me, we wait for Eric to be brought in, I see Mason's family on the other side his mother was crying. Eventually, he is brought in, he looked so depressed, he sees me and gives me a sad smile, I give one back more comforting trying to hide my worry, he was seated with his lawyer and handcuffs taken off of him, I hate seeing him here, like this, we are supposed to be happy and engaged, celebrating our new life together, I knew someone was watching him I just didn't expect them to come so soon.
HOURS LATER
"We will now hear from the jury, with bail cost" the judge announced, this is what we all waited for everyone grew with anticipation, we watch as a young blond woman stood up, "we find Eric Vivian Mathews..." there was a moment of silence, it was so quiet I could hear my heart race, "guilty for first-degree murder for both Pokimane and Mason's murder" she announced, sobs and gasps fill the room, "oh god" I see Eric fall back into his chair clearly in shock as his lawyer comforted him, "bail from 600k to 800k AUD" she added "fuck" I cuss out in a whisper, "Cam, we'll find a way" I only saved ¼ of that I'll go bankrupt if I use all when I have it. This is too stressful to handle, "Eric will be sent 15 years in prison" Tobi gasps as well as Eric, "how could you?! He was your best friend, he makes one mistake and you kill him! He didn't deserve it, you piece of shit!" Mason's mother stood up balling her eyes out, Koby hugged her as well as his father, I look over at Eric, who was holding back his tears, he didn't need to do this for me, I don't understand why would either, I've been such an asshole to him even before the coffee shop. Eric looks over at me with teary sad eyes, we both lean in, I grabbed the back of his neck lightly and go over to his ear, "I love you, ok, remember that baby" I whisper, he lets out a shaky breath and I pull away looking to his eyes, "I love you too" he sobs quietly I kiss him passionately, tears stream down both our cheeks.
Once we pull away they put the handcuffs back on him, and they get him out of the courtroom, "he'll be fine ok, I'm sure he will" Tobi comforts seeing my worried face, I left the room in a hurry feeling tears form in my eye, "no, he can't go" tears stream down my cheek, Tobi hugs me letting me cry into her shoulder, why do I always ruin things... I ruined him.
I get home and into my saving box there was 200K in cash it's going to take a couple of months to get 800K I need to release some stress on something or someone- no I can't I'll find a way to keep myself calm, I need to or else things like Mason and Poki will happen again, I can't cheat on him and I don't want to, I'll have a drink instead just one won't hurt, right?
