"1 more minute!"

I need to breathe.

"45 more seconds!"

C'mon I can do this!

"30 more seconds!"

30 more seconds....

"10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3....2....1!"

As soon as I heard him scream 1, I dropped down to the ground.

Fuck! I'm never upsetting him again. Nothing is worse than running laps...

"Go clean yourself up, cadet," he said firmly.

"Y-yes... Cap-tain... Le-vi," I reply, barely able to speak, while catching my breath. I got up to walk indoors, towards my room. Everything was fine, until I felt my vision blur. I held on to the tree in front of me for support while feeling the agonizing pain from my headache.

Fuck! Why now? I haven't had this headache in so long!

I opened my eyes big enough to see Nick right in front of me. Before I could process anything he was saying, I dropped down to the ground and everything became pitch black.

"Levi!"

I see myself jump onto a person, giving him a bug bear hug. He was so warm. I pulled apart and stared straight into his eyes. Those cold, grey, narrow eyes. I love them. I loved everything about him.

"Here Levi."

I pulled out a box and shoved it in his face.

"What is this y/n?" Levi asks me.

"You'll see once you open it!" I answer, impatiently waiting for him to open the box. I watched as he opened the jade green colored box and saw his eyes widen.

"Y/n... did you... what.... Is this for me?" Levi manages to say.

"Of course! I got it in your favorite color too. The pendant reminded me of you, so I decided to get it for you for your birthday," I replied. "I want you to be constantly reminded of me."

Levi smiled and quickly put on the necklace. "It's perfect", I hear him whisper.

"Y/n, I love you."

"I love you more, Levi."

I jerked up and started breathing hard. My head was full of sweat. I looked around me.

Where am I?

"Oi brat, you're finally awake!" I turned around to see Captain Levi sitting on the chair besides the bed I was in. "What happened?" I asked him.

"Tch, you fainted after running laps. That new brat carried you all the way to your room," he replies with his arms folded on his chest.

Right! I remembered seeing Nick before passing out.

"Oi brat! What are you thinking about? Did you dream?" I looked up at him shocked. How did he know I had a dream? Did I say something weird? If I did, did he hear me? But that's so weird... why did I have a dream about Captain Levi... and that we were a couple.... I was also giving him something...

"Oi! Are you listening?" I realized that Captain Levi was talking to me the whole time. He took my silence as a sign that I didn't hear what he said. "Rest for the rest of today," he demanded, right before he turned his body and walked out my room.

LEVI POV*

I was walking down the hall when I saw the new brat entering, carrying someone. I took a closer look and saw that they were heading towards y/n's room. I walked up to him and called him out. "Oi! You there!" He turned around and looked at me. I used this chance to see who is in his arms.

Y/n?

"What's wrong with her?" I ask.

"I don't know, Captain, I was outside taking a walk and saw that she fainted. So I'm carrying her to her room," he replies, nervously.

"Tch, let me take her. You go on." He seemed to hesitate for a second but quickly placed her in my arms. He quickly left and I opened the door to her room and dropped her on her bed and threw the blanket over her. As I was about to turn around to leave, I heard her say something.

"Levi.... Do...do you like the necklace?" I turned to look at her, and saw that she was still unconscious, but her face was very stressed. Her brows were furrowed. She was sweating. She started to fidget, her small hands rolling into a fist. Suddenly, her facial expression calmed down, and her lips curved into a smile. "I love you, Levi." I hear her say. My eyes widen. Necklace? I love you? What? Is she dreaming?

I stopped. I looked down at her, reaching for the towel on the nightstand to wipe her sweat on her forehead. I gently moved her bangs to the side to reveal the scar that I had seen when she bumped into me. This couldn't be all a coincidence at this point. I looked at her one more time before her eyes suddenly opened, giving me a small heart attack. "Oi brat, you're finally awake!" I say, playing it cool. She looked at me confused. After asking her some questions, I simply told her to take the day off and continue practicing tomorrow.

Y/N POV*

I sat in my bed contemplating life. I didn't know what just happened. But now, I am certain that something happened to me before my accident that my mom or Jean didn't tell me. But why did I dream about Captain Levi? I even said 'I love you' to him... I haven't even said that to Jean yet. I felt a sense of guilt wash over me as I push myself off the bed and head towards the mess hall for some food since I haven't eaten all day. In no time, I reach the mess hall and see Connie, Sasha, Mikasa, and Eren already eating their lunch. I quickly grab my lunch and join them, hoping to forget about that weird dream.

"Hey guys!" I say, forcing a smile on my face. 

"Hey y/n! You're awake!" Sasha says, turning towards me to give me a hug as I sit down next to her, with Mikasa on the other side. Eren and Connie were sitting right across them.

"Yeah, sorry about that, I wasn't feeling well," I say.

"Are you sure that you're okay, y/n?" Mikasa asks me in her soft but low voice.

"Yes, I'm sure Mikasa," I said while showing her a little smile to show her that I was ok.

"Yeah y/n," Connie added on, Eren and I were walking outside and saw you passed out near the tree. We were going to help you, but we saw the new guy running over and carrying you instead. What was his name again?"

"Nick." Eren replied, while taking a sip of his soup.

Nick? I'll go thank him later.

"By the way y/n, do you know that the top cadets are invited to the palace tomorrow?" Eren asks, in between bites of the cold, stale bread. 

"No, I don't.. What are we going for?" I ask him.

"Nobody knows... we were just invited, and Captain Levi just came to inform us earlier," Mikasa says. I turned back to my food and sigh. It's going to be a long day tomorrow.
