LEVI POV*

"Thank you."

"No problem. Come again!" The tea shop owner smiles and waves at me. I walk out of the tea shop and feel little rain drops on my head. Shit. Out of all times, it rains now. I fastened my pace and decided to run back to the headquarters.

BAM! "Sorry about that, I-"

"Hey, watch where you're going, man!" The man I bumped into spoke. I looked up to see who this rude brat was. Though it was hard to see due to me squinting, I could make out his face. What luck I have to see him here. But there was someone next to him. Another woman. She had short curly hair. His arms were wrapped around his waist and her hands were holding onto him. WTF. What is he doing? "Oi! What are you doing?" I snap at him.

"What do you think I'm doing here? Of course, I'm here to-" He began.

"No." I cut him off. "I said what are you doing with her?" I pointed to the female next to him.

"I'm afraid that doesn't concern you, Captain." He snaps back.

"Jeannnn, cmon, let's go back." The female next to him spoke up. It was obvious they had something going on. I glared at him. Was he cheating on y/n?

"Hope you didn't forget about your girlfriend, Jean." I reminded him.

No, I hope he does. He doesn't deserve y/n.

"Thanks for your concern Levi, but this doesn't concern you."

"You're right it doesn't. But y/n is part of my team and I need a perfect team. But she's been upset recently and cannot focus on her training. Therefore, she is dragging down the group performance."

That was a big lie. I did not give a shit about her training. Her wellbeing was all that I cared about.

"Don't even lie." Jean retorts back. "I know how you feel about her. If you didn't like her, then you wouldn't have said what you said to me that day."

"How I feel about her is none of your business. But I suggest you not wait for the opportunity for someone else to treat her right." I argue back. Before Jean could even say anything, the annoying looking female next to him started to whine.

"Jeannn, let's go back. I don't want to stay here anymore." He looked at her.

"Alright Hitch, let's go back. I'm done talking to him anyways." And with that, he gave me one last glance before turning around to leave. Now I was completely soaked. And I wasted my time talking to an idiot. Whatever, I'll just go back and change. I reached the headquarters in no time and quickly enter my room. Not long later, I hear a knock on my door. "Name and business."

"It's me, y/n, captain. I bought you some towels since you're soaking wet from the rain."

"Come in, y/n."

She opened the door and walked in, one hand, holding a new towel and the other, a cup of my favorite black tea. She handed me the tea and I took a sip. Just the way I like it. I was so immersed in my tea that I didn't realize that she was drying my head with the towel that she bought in. "Oi brat, I can do it myself."

"Yes, you can, but it's best to dry yourself quickly so that you don't catch a cold. It'll be faster if I help you." She said, as she continued to dry my hair. I sigh and let her do her job. I contemplated on whether I should tell her about everything that happened before. But first, I had to figure out my own feelings for her. Maybe that brat was right. Maybe I do like her. But what does she think of me?

"Captain?"

I look up to see y/n staring at me with a wet towel in her hands.

 "What brat?"

"Nothing, I was just wondering what you're thinking about. You look like you're very deep in thought." She says. Without even thinking, I just blurted it out. "I saw Jean earlier and had a small argument with him." I looked up to see that she wasn't even surprised. She was fumbling with the towels in her hands non-stop. I grabbed her hands and took the towel from her to stop her from fumbling. "Y/n, tell me. What's on your mind? Are you still mad at him?" I ask.

She took a deep breath before talking. "I don't know. I was mad before, but now, I just want to talk to him and see him. I've been thinking about him a lot more recently. I just wonder if he thinks about me."

And this was when I decided not to tell her about the girl he was with earlier. It'll hurt her more.

"If you want to see him, I can take you to see him. I don't want to see you like this." I say to her, while holding her hands.

"Why Captain? Why are you so nice to me?" she asks.

"Because you remind me of someone I know. Someone I treasure a lot."

Lies. I am in love with you, y/n. When you're in pain, I'm in pain too. It hurts me to see you sad. I can't bear to see you hurt. So even if it means that I have to bring you back to him, I will do it, for you.

"Thank you, Captain." She stood up and hugged me. I wanted to hug her back but I held back. Instead, I just gave her a pat on the back before she pulled back.

"Brat, you're helping me tonight with my paperwork."

Of course, I didn't need help. I just wanted to spend more time with her.

She smiled and replied with a simple "yes sir."

THREE HOURS LATER*

As I finish my last page of documents, I move it aside and see the brat asleep across from me. Her hands were crisscrossed on my desk while her head rested on it. I could hear her light snores. She really is tired. I get up, and gently pick her up, while her head moves to lean against my chest. I walk to her room and open the door. Thankfully, it wasn't locked. I open her covers and lightly take off her boots and jacket and slide her in her bed. As I was about to leave, I notice that she still had the rose I gave her from the garden in the palace. It was placed in a small vase right on the table next to the bed. I smiled knowing that she had kept it, since I said it suited her well. I knelt down and gave her a kiss on the forehead before walking out of her room. I made it back to my room and plopped down on my chair. Tomorrow was going to be a long day.
