"Got any news?"

"Not much, but I did see something weird the other day."

"What did you see?"

"It was late at night and I left my room to visit Bean and Sawney. Usually at this time, everybody is asleep, or should be asleep, but I saw Nick walking near the horses acting weird, so I hid behind a tree. He was also very careful to not make too much noise when unlocking the gates, so clearly, he is hiding something. I followed him to the same location where I found you when you were unconscious. Though that wasn't too unusual, he started to look around once more and then he got on his knees and started praying. I could tell he was saying something since he was moving his mouth, but I couldn't hear anything."

He took a deep breath before speaking.

"At least we got something. I'm lucky enough to find the one girl that I want to protect for the rest of my life. She must not be near danger for as long as I am alive."

"But we don't have enough evidence to rule him out. What if it's not Nick?"

"It's okay. As long they don't provoke us, I won't go out of my way to finish him. But if he attempts anything, I won't hesitate.

She nods in response.

And... thank you, Hange. I could always rely on you. Also, don't tell y/n anything. She doesn't need to know yet... at least now. I've decided to stay by her side and protect her."

"Oi Levi, never thought that you would say something like that." Hange teased.

"You didn't hear any of that."

"Alright alright, I won't tell y/n or anybody else. I'll make sure to keep a close eye on Nick."

Levi nodded in response before Hange exited his room. There were no missions today, so all the cadets were free to do what they want. Most of them left to either visit their families or friends. As for y/n, she notified Levi about her schedule. She was going to visit Jean. It has been a month since the last time they met, which was when they just made up from their fight. Levi was glad that she was happy again. But he secretly wanted to be by her so badly. He missed all the time that you guys had spent together in the past. He wished he could tell you, but he didn't know if you already forgot about him. He would constantly think, did she ever think about me like I did about her? But why would she? She's happy with someone else now and that's all that matters.

Just remember that I love you, y/n. Remember that you will always be loved and cherished by someone in the world.

Y/N POV*

I carefully walked on the side of the bridge waiting for Jean to arrive. Though I was supposed to be happy about meeting him after a month, I don't know why, the only person that came to my head was Captain Levi. I honestly don't know what this feeling is. Love? No way. I love Jean, right? That's why I'm with him. There were moments where I keep dreaming of a certain man. He and I were clearly very close. I had a strong feeling that he was someone I knew. He could have been someone that I knew before I lost my memories. Maybe I should ask Jean when he gets here....

"Y/n!"

I turn around and see Jean running towards me with one had waving in the air. I smile knowing that I get to spend the entire day with him. I hope that we can cherish the moments we have together and not fight again.

"Jean!" I scream back. We ran towards each other and Jean embraced me in his arms tightly. We missed each other so much. After a while, we finally let go and he takes the initiative to hold my hands.
