I run in the house and shut the door forcefully. Noah stood in the kitchen eating chicken nuggets staring at me in confusion.
"What's up dude?" He said.
"Where's Eva?" i asked ignoring he's question completely.
"Mom took her in her room to go to sleep." He explained. I nodded and took my seat on the kitchen table. He just stood there leaning against the kitchen counter.
"So you gonna explain what happened? Who were you even talking to a ghost?" He said while giggling.
"No, an angel." I say looking him dead in the eye. He's smile dissapeared in seconds.
"You're kidding, right?" He asked. I shook my head "no"
"Was it a guy or girl? How did they cross the border? Why so late at night?" He asked i think more to himself but i answered him anyway.
"A girl. Eva crossed the border and hurt herself, this girl healed her and then crossed the border with her bringing her home." I aswered.
Noah looked at me blankly. I geuss processing the information. "She crossed the border!?" He asked. It took me a second to know which one he was talking about, obviously Eva. I nodded.
"Did you thank her?" He asked. I gave him a look and said "Was i supposed to?" I asked back confused. "I mean she did bring Eva back and healed her." He said eating he's last chicken nugget. "But she's an angel! She found out that Eva was a demon after she healed her." I told him.
"So you yelled at her didn't you?" It didn't really sound like a question. He already knows how i am. I nodded 'yes' like it was the most obvious thing to do. He sighted and sat down. "Great, you scared another person away."
"That's what's funny, she wasn't scared." I honestly only just realised that. "Really!?" He asked with his eyebrows raised. "Yes, she even yeld back." I stated. He looked at me with his jaw dropped and disbelief in his eyes.
"I have to be friends with her." He said and i rolled my eyes at him while i stood up walking to my room. "I'M GOING TO BE FRIENDS WITH HER!!" He yelled just before i could shut my door.
Kaya pov
(time skip to thurstday morning)
I went to school and just like always it was very boring.
All day i couldn't stop thinkin this was the last day i would spent in this school. Tomorrow i'll be in 'Brendara university'. I'm excited but also terrified. Lila has called me every night this week, she is very excited that i'm finaly coming to the university. It has only been 2 months and she keeps telling me that was way to long for her. I always laugh at that but deep down i know that i miss her too.
Louis and Bryce wouldn't leave me alone for one second since they kept saying they were going to miss me and also kept talking about how i should ignore every demon.
Louis was becoming 18 in 1 month and Bryce in 3.
At the end of the day i couldn't help but sight at how tired i was. Louis and Bryce finaly left to go home. We were obviously still going to see eachother around but much less i promised i would call Louis after my first day.
I walked back to my locker for the last time taking all my books out and locking it again. I walked to the office and knocked.
"Hello dear, what can i do for you?" The woman said. "I came to bring my key from the locker." I said handing it to her. "Oh yes, Kaya good luck at Brendara university. I hope you have a good time there." She said with her sweet voice. "Thank you." I turned around and started walking to the door wen she spoke up again. "Don't forget never to take your stone off." I heard her say. I turned back around to face her and showed her my ring. "I won't.' I say and walk back out.
I walked back to my house and my mind couldn't stop thinking about tomorrow.
What if i don't like it there? I thought. What if i meet a demon and they are as mean and cruel as they are in the stories. Will i give up my hope? I mean i already met one, but he was an asshole.
When i came home my dad wasn't there he had to work late again. I made some food for myself and then watched some tv. After that i ran 2 miles and i didn't go on the border side on purpose. I called lila and finaly we hung up and i layed in my bed.
I am tired. I am exhausted but still i feel energetic. I was a little scared for tomorrow.
After thinking for a really long time i managed to get some sleep.
