Chapter 29 : Leaving

I wake up by a irritating noice. I lift my head from my pillow looking for the noice when i realize it is my phone. I curse to myself grabbing my phone and when i see who it is i jump out of bed rushing to the closet to get dressed.

The message is from Lira.

Lira: Hey, we're meeting at my house at 3.

It's currently 2:48 pm. Yeah, i know i sleep long but i was only home at 4 am and i only fell asleep at 8 am.

Yesterday Lira and i decided to tell everyone today. Which is why we are meeting at Lira's place. I threw on some comfy clothes and rushed downstairs.

"Hey, where are you going?" My dad asked. "Is it a boy?" Lucy asked with a smirk. "No. I'm going to Lira's." I said and immidiately left.

I walk to Lira's house and i have this feeling of all eyes watching me. I don't regret going to leader Jacob last night but i do not like the feeling i have right know. It's like i'm scared to turn corners, to walk into people or even smile at people i know. Because me being paranoid can't shake the feeling of people knowing it by now.

When i see Lira's house i basically walk as fast as i can to the house. I knock and not a second latter i'm being pulled inside by Lira herself.

"Come on everyone is here already. I walked with her in her living room and saw them all sitting there. I sat down next to Lira and Louis on the other side. "Okay, i'm very curious but also terrified." Alice said looking at both of us. I shared a look with Lira and a voice interupted it quickly. "Just come to the point, i've been wainting long enough the anxiety is eating me up from the inside." Bryce said.

"Okay," i took a breath and started. I told them everything about what leader Jacob told us and about what we told him. We wanted to keep the part of us leaving tonight to the end.

"So, what is he going to do about it now?" Caleb asked. "And what is goin to happen to you guys? If leader Francis finds out you guys are so dead." Bryce said his anxiety definitely going up.

"He won't." I assure them. "Actually leader Jacob told us something else." They all went silent to listen to what i was about to say. "He says leader Francis will find out soon enough. So he wants us to go to him tonight, taking our belongings with us."

"You two are leaving!" Louis almost shouted. "No, we are not. We told leader Jacob about you guys too and you can come too. He promises to kep us safe." Lira interupts.

"But tonight!" Caleb panicked. "Yeah, and what about my parents? They will never forgive me after this." Bryce said.

"You guys don't have to come. You're all safe. But Lira and i, we don't have a choice." I tell them.

"I'm coming with you." Alice said while looking at me. "What leader Francis is doing is wrong and it's not the first time this bastard fixes something like this." I smile at her and nod. "Me too." Caleb assured.

"I'm coming too." I turn my head to Louis. "You're right. I'm comin too." He repeats.

We all look at Bryce who got completely pale in the last minutes. "If you guys go i'm going too."

We all smiled and even laughed. I am not so sure why. I think it's part of our escaping. Escaping leader Francis.

After that we all left and we agreed to meet at the border with our stuff at 2 am.

I would lie if i say i didn't feel bad for my dad. But he has Lucy know. I have dinner with them and i act like nothing is wrong. They don't suspect anything like expected. I just tell them i'm going to sleep early and go upstairs.
