Trust is a dangerous path.

Chapter 6 : Beach day

Today i stood up early in the morning to get ready for the beach.

Lira thought it would be fun going to the beach with Louis and Bryce. We also invited Alice and Caleb to come.

I put on a purple bathing suit and black shorts over it. I packed some suncream and some snacks.

I am now on my way to Lira's house and i quickly text her to come outside since i'm close by her house. When i reach her house she just came out the front door.

"Hello, beach day!" she screamed excited. I laughed at her and linked my arm with hers. We started walking to the beach but we were laughing so loud people probably thought we were drunk or something.

We reached the beach and saw Louis and Bryce standing there waving at us like crazy. "Hello pretty ladies." Louis said. "Hello guys." i said while hugging them and Lira did the same.

"So how much did you miss me yesterday." i asked them while sitting on the sand. "Pretty boring like always but peacefull." Bryce laughed. "Yeah, peacefull." Louis said. We all talked and laughed.

"Hey guys." i heard behind us. I turn around to see who is standing there and i see Alice and Caleb walking towards us. I smiled and waved them over. They sat next to us and i introduced them. "Alice, Caleb this is Louis and this is Bryce. Bryce and Louis this is Alice and this is Caleb."

We all were talking so long we didn't even notice we were already sitting there for so long. Alice, Caleb, Bryce and Louis bonded really quick and easily.

"Okay who's coming in the water with me?" Louis asked. "Me!" i shouted and the others were just as excited as me. I took of my shorts leaving me in my purple bathing suit. I race to the ocean togheter with Louis and the rest were right behind us.

I dive in the ocean feeling the water all over my body. When i come back up i see everyone's head poking out of the water. Some started splashing water on each other but i swam farther away. I love swimming.

Louis came right behind me and pulled me under. When we both were back up we burst out laughing. "Hey Kaya, i have to tell you something." Louis said. "Oh, do tell." i said excited.

He looked a little nervous and i have never seen him nervous before. A nervous Louis is a weird image. "Hey, are you okay?" i asked. "Yeah, i'm completely fine." he said. i nodded.

I looked at him patiently waiting until he would tell me.

"Kaya, i'm bi." he said.

I giggled. "That's why you were so nervous for telling me?" I asked and he nodded. "You're the first person i tell."

"I feel honoured now. You really don't have to be scared, i love you no matter what." and he smiled at me. "So anyone you like?" i asked.

"Actually i do like someone." he let out a awkard laugh and swam a little farther. I swam behind him and asked him again. "Who do you like? Please tell me, i won't tell anyone i promise." i said.

"I like Bryce." he said and my jaw dropped. i started giggling like a child. "Omg, for how long already." "About 2 months now." he said smiling. "Are you going to make a move?" i asked curious. "No, are you crazy absolutely not." He said.

I chuckled. "Big flirt Louis is shy." i teased him and he just laughed at me. "Let's head back to them." i said and he nodded.

We splashed water at each other and went out of the water. Most of us were tired so we said our goodbye and split up.

I gave Louis one big hug and whispered in his ear "Good luck with Bryce. You would be cute togheter." He smiled at me and mumbled a thanks.

I walked home with Lira and since Lira is my best friend it was killing me not to tell her about Louis crush, but i couldn't Louis trusted me with his secret and i will keep it. I will not break his trust.

I waved Lira goodbye and walked to my house. My dad was not home what a suprise so i started making some soup for myself.

I went upstairs and decided i was goign to read for a bit. I sat at my window and for some odd reason i wanted to go outside again. So i did. I took my book and headed to the border.

Sometimes when i want to be alone i come to the border and sit by the trees just out of sight. so technically i don't cross it.

I sat there a couple minutes when i heard voices coming from the other side of the border. I couldn't hear exactly what they were saying but i wasn't that interested to know either.

Suddenly a ball falls about 2 feet away from me. I hear footsteps coming closer and people shouting.

"GO GET THE BALL!" a familiar voice shouts even tho i can't place the voice from who it belongs.

"OKAY OKAY." another familiar voice shouts.

I now realize that those 2 voices belong to Noah and Miles. Which means one of them is going to come and get the ball. I silently hoped it would be Noah.

Out of the trees comes Miles walking straight to the ball. He didn't even noticed me until after he picked it up.

"Oh, well hello Kaya." He said sounding nicer than i've ever heard him before.

"Hey Miles." i smiled back.

"DID YOU FIND IT!" Noah yelled.

"Is that Noah?" i obviously knew the answer but i asked it anyways.

"Yes." he said back.

"Well see you on monday." i said smiling at him.

"Yeah, see you on monday." and with that he left.

Miles pov

I came out of the forest smiling.

"What took you so long and why are you smiling?" Noah asked.

"You threw the ball so far it was almost on the other side, and Kaya was sitting there against a tree." i said.

"So that's why you're smiling." Noah said with a smirk. "And you mean?" I asked. "Miles has a crush." Noah teased.

"Don't be ridiculous, i do not have a crush on Kaya." i tell him.

We started walking back to the house.

"How do you know you don't have a crush on Kaya?" Noah asked. "I think i would now wouldn't i?" "Actually no, you have had multiple girlfriends before sure but you never had real feelings for them. Kaya is your first crush." Noah mocked.

I know he is right and he knows me to well. crap.

"Okay maybe a little." i tell him. "Yeah, i know." he says.

I went straight to bed after eating and scrolled on my phone a while.

Kaya pov

I sat there for another 10 minutes until the sun start setting, so i decided to go home.

I am so tired i can't even feel my legs anymore. I fell asleep before i knew it.
