Chapter 5 : New girl

I was walking to school with Noah when we heard there was a new student.

"What do you think, angel or demon?" Noah asked me.
"An angel i geuss."
"Boy or girl?"
"I don't know, all angels suck so it doesn't matter."
"Okay, well see."

We talked a bit more and we arrived at school.

"Hey man, what's up?" Marcus asked me. "Fuck off, Marcus." Noah said.

"Bad mood today?" He asked.
"Leave." I said and he did.

Marcus is probably the biggest asshole i know.

We walked to class early and took our regular seats. Our class has space for one more student so it could be the new student was in our class. We had only space for an angel.

The teacher came in and she answered all of our questions. She herself is a demon and but never favored anyone.

We know now that it's a girl angel and she is indeed in our class.

"Great." I mumbled to Noah.
"Let's just hope for the best." He said.

Noah somehow had still trust in being friends with an angel. No idea why. I mean there all so boring.

Then Lira walked in with the new angel by her side. Lira was actually a pretty cool person. I never talked to her though.

I take a closer look to the angel everyone is know staring at. She lookes a little familiar.

Wait! I know her. That's the girl that helped Eva. shit.

I keep staring since i am just kinda shocked. Luckely she doesn't notice since everybody is staring at her. I can see her much better know than that night. It was so dark that i almost couldn't see her features. She has dark brown hair, green eyes. She is very short i can see that from here.

Lira walks with her to the desk right in front of me and Noah.

"Hello class, today we have a new student. Kaya Ovana an angel." The teacher says. She looks over at Kaya and says "Goodluck Kaya and happy birthday." Kaya says "thank you" back and the teacher starts explaining immediately.

Kaya. Pretty name.

I turn to Noah and whisper in his ear. "Kaya is the angel that helped Eva." Noah looked at me like i just told him he couldn't eat anymore for the rest of his life. "Are you serious?" He whispered back. "Yes, dead serious." i say back.

Noah takes a piece of paper and starts writing something down. "Noah no." i whisper yell at him. "Man relax i'm just making some new friends." he says with a evil smile. He folds it and keeps it on the side of his desk. He leens closer to me whispering in my ear again.

"She looks fun, don't you think?" He said. "The only reason you're saying that is because she yelled back at me." i state.

"And because she was kind enough to heal Eva, and bring her back, and because she was brave enough to cross the border at night. I'm just saying she looks like a cool person give it a chance Miles." he says. I wave him off.

He throws the paper on Kaya's desk. I was mentaly facepalming. She reads it and i can see Lira's reading it too. She turns around to face Noah and Lira does the same.

Noah smiles like the fucking weirdo he is. "Hi as i said i'm Noah. Happy birthday." He says. "Thank you." she said back but she knew that wasn't the reason she had to turn around she kept staring at Noah waiting until he said something else. "Do you know Miles?" he asked and i couldn't help but widen my eyes a bit more. "Why would she?" Lira asked. Kaya looked confused too. "Who?" she asked.

Noah pointed at me and said "Him." She looked over at me and her eyes widen and i see her jaw drop. I couldn't help but smirk at her. "You?!" she said. "Yeah, me." i said still smirking.

"Suprise." Noah said giggling like the little child he is. I could quit literatly push out of the window right now.

The bell rang at that moment and Lira basically pulled Kaya by her sleeve to the door. I geuss she has some explaining to do. I look back at Noah who is still giggling like a child. "Are you happy know?" i asked him. "Yeah, pretty much i mean isn't that obvious with my giggling? I'm sorry i'll make it more obvious." he said and then he started laughing outloud which made some heads turn. I hit him on the shoulder and chuckled at him.

When the break was over Kaya and lira walked back in and the teacher said " Ladies take your seats please." They walked silently back to the seats in front of us and she didn't make eye conctact. Then the next thing the teacher said was to partner up.

Seriously you have to do that know?! i asked myself. i huffed and Noah had a wide smile on his face.

They slowly turned around and Noah couldn't hold in his little laugh like always.

"What are you laughing at?" Kaya asked Noah.

"I just like seeing my brother annoyed." He smiled and i chuckled.

"You guys are brother's?" she asked.

"Kind off." He said.

The teacher wanted us to write the answer on a paper and Noah was doing the writing.

"It's b." i said by the first one.

"B" said lira by the second one.

"A" Kaya said by the third.

Noah kept scribbling down everything.

"B" i said. "No, a." Kaya said looking at me.

"Yeah, a." Lira said confirming her answer. "How are you so sure?" i asked.

I love teasing people.

"The question is can angels heal themselves. The answer is no, so it's a and the reason we know this is because were angels you asshole." She snapped at me and she was clearly a little annoyed at me.

Noah obviously giggled and i had to hide my smile and just ignored her.

That was kinda hot. i thought by myself.

The bell rang and the quiz was over. I focused out the window until Lira's voice broke my trance.

"Turn around Marcus." She said.

I looked her way and saw that Marcus was now focused on Lira's drawing. I could see that it was a wolf. It was well done, it looked very realistic.

"That looks like crap." He said pointing at the drawing.

"Yeah just like you're haircut." Kaya snapped back.

I giggled a little and quickly hide it to see what else Marcus was gonna say.

"Who are you?" He asked.

"Someone you clearly don't know yet and pretty hair." she said casually. He turned back around annoyed and that was the breaking point Noah broke out in a laugh and i chuckled with him. Marcus looked so dumb right know.

The rest of class was just as boring as always.

I was walking home with Noah and he kept talking about Lira and Kaya. I know Noah has a crush on Lira. He hasn't told me yet but i know him better than anyone else. I know it for a while now, they haven't even talked that much just a couple times.

"What do you think of Kaya?" he asked.

"I think she is an angel." i say and Noah huffs loudly. "What does it matter she's pretty cool."

We argue a bit more before we arrive home.
