"So, I heard that you love someone." Calum turned around, shocked to see Jess nonchalantly sitting in their (his and the guys) dressing room.
"Where did you hear that?" He asked, trying to keep his composure so she wouldn't see just how panicked he really felt. He was preparing himself for the heartbreak he thought he was about to face. The moment where she tells him that she has a boyfriend, and that she's sorry but she doesn't like him like that, and that they should just stay friends, even though now it was impossible and they would just drift apart.
"Gabi, apparently you told her while you were drunk? Anyways, that's not what's important, what's important is that I'm angry you didn't tell me." she threw her hands up in the air, exasperated. "I thought we were best friends, why wouldn't you tell me?" Cal let out the breath he was (unknowingly) holding, glad that she didn't know it was her that he loved unconditionally. At the same time, a small part of him wished she had known, so they could move past it and get on with their lives, so he could get over her before he fell deeper in love.
"Well, I didn't really think it would matter." he shrugged, hoping she would be fine with that answer and they could change the subject, before he blurted out the truth.
"Of course it matters! You're in love, and I want to hear everything about it. So, what's she like?"
"Um." How could he describe the love of his life when she was right in front of him, already had a boyfriend, and expected you to describe someone else.
"She's amazing, I mean, I feel like she really gets me. I haven't known her for long, but it's like everyday she makes me fall for her more and more. It's kinda hard to really describe her, I mean she's gorgeous, but I couldn't possibly do her beauty any justice. I'm just completely in love with her." He smiled at Jess, happy with himself for telling the truth, but still keeping her from finding out who exactly this 'mystery girl' was. She smiled at Cal, but still felt this twinge of sadness, a little part of her not content, feeling like that girl he was talking about didn't deserve him, this amazing and just all around great guy. Shoving that side of herself away, Jess did something neither of them expected.
"How bout I help you win this girl over? I mean, she obviously has no clue, or else you'd be with her instead of complaining about it to Gabi. What do you say?"
