It's been months now and almost every day I've left in the Bifrost to meet Bucky Barnes at the Brooklyn Antiques. He agreed that he was available every day at noon and would meet me there as often as he could. For days I might be late or days I wish to surprise him he gave me written directions to find him when I needed him, which I had placed in my journal. My relationship with him has advanced romantically, I had called it love at first sight with him. I walked along to reach Heimdall. "Hello Heimdall, could you please send me to Midgard?" I asked kindly.
"Of course miss." He replied as he sent me off. Heimdall of course knew all about my relationship with Bucky. I asked him specifically not to say anything to father. While father would of course be upset about this Heimdall was not committing treason as there was no set rule that I could not visit Bucky. Heimdall has agreed that so long as there's no rule against it he will do as I wish.
Noon on the dot I walked towards Brooklyn Antiques to see, for once, Bucky wasn't outside awaiting my arrival. As I got closer I realized he had gone inside the store. He came out holding a small box.
"Hey Doll, I got something for ya." He told me with a large grin across his face. He opened the box to reveal a small heart-shaped locket made of gold. "I've already put something in there I hope you don't mind." I opened the locket which revealed a picture of him on one half, leaving the other half empty. The picture was a perfect picture of him, he had a bright smile in the photo and his smile was just the type of smile you couldn't wait to see.
"Oh, Bucky I love it!" I exclaimed. "Does this mean I am officially yours now?"
"Well so long as I get to be yours." he grinned "No matter what I have to fight through, I will always find you" He pulled me close and gave me a kiss.
We walked around town for a while, just enjoying the city when we walked past an alleyway. "I can do this all day." We heard a voice pant. Bucky sighed. "Wait here hon." He walked down the alley. I followed after him at a slight distance and saw two men fighting, one man was much smaller than the other and very out of breath.
"Hey!" Bucky fumed "pick on someone your own size!" He tossed the bigger man to the ground and kicked him before he ran off.
"Thanks, Buck." The other man thanked. "I had him on the ropes." he huffed out of breath.
"I know you did." Bucky laughed. The boys turned towards me and Bucky smiled "You remember me mentioning that girl I've been talking to for a few months right?"
"Ah yes," the man huffed "Y/n, right? You haven't exactly stopped talking about her." They laughed.
"Well, this is her." Bucky motioned towards me. "Y/n this is my best friend Steve Rogers."
"A pleasure to meet you, Mister Rogers." I smiled.
"Oh please, just Steve is fine." He shook my hand then turned towards Bucky. "She sounds super sophisticated. How'd you get a girl like that?"
"Oh shush" Bucky laughed.
Bucky and I walked Steve home then continued to walk for a bit before stopping at a diner. "So Y/n you mentioned you have brothers. What are they like?" He asked.
"Well, they're both very protective over me," I explained. "They're also very skilled in fighting. The three of us worked pretty hard in self-defense training."
"Well, then that's just more motivation to treat you right." He joked. "As if I don't already."
"Speaking of my brothers I should head home." I begin to stand. "Maybe I should walk you home?" He offered.
"No! I'll be fine really. I haven't told them about you yet." I replied quickly. "They might be angry with me for keeping you a secret."
"Well alright. Can I give you one last kiss then?" He begged. I nodded then he leaned across the diner table and gave me a kiss.
