From Another Time

Chapter 24

Every day now Bucky has been getting better. Some nights he sleeps through the whole night and the nights he has nightmares we just wake up early and train. He seems to like to talk about my life while we train I think it helps distract him.

One morning I woke up and turned next to me to see Bucky wasn't there. I checked the training room and he wasn't there. I put on a night robe and checked the kitchen and only found Steve surprisingly without his morning coffee. "Steve, have you seen Bucky? I can't find him anywhere." I asked him.

Steve handed me a box, "Go put this on and come back down when you're ready." He smiled.

I brought the box upstairs and it was a lovely red dress. I quickly put it on hoping Bucky was planning a nice breakfast date or something. I ran downstairs to see Steve waiting for me. He reached out his arm and interlocked it with mine. Steve took me to the elevator and I noticed we were going to the launchpad.

The elevator doors opened revealing a pathway of rose petals leading out to the end of the launchpad. As I walked down the lane of petals each of our friends stood along the side ready to hand me a flower.

"Go get 'em kid." Tony winked at me as he handed me the rose.

"I'm so happy for you." Natasha smiled and I smiled back.

Last was Bruce. "Hey kid" he gave me a hug "I'm proud of you." I smiled as he released me from the hug and handed me the last rose.

We opened the glass doors and to my surprise, my brothers were waiting at each side of me. "I think we've got it from here Rogers." Thor smiled.

Steve nodded his head and my brothers interlocked arms with me on each side. "I'm so happy for you sister." Thor whispered.

I looked over to Loki. "As am I, no matter how difficult I may have been I'm so incredibly happy for you." Loki pulled me in for a hug and then so did Thor.

We ended at a circle of petals with Bucky in the center in a nice suit. "Y/n Odinsdottir. My doll. The youngest child of Odin and Frigga, and Goddess of earth and nature." Bucky got down on one knee and my hands immediately went to my mouth in shock. "I think it's about time I return this to you. Will you spend eternity with me?"

"Yes!"
