I walked into the lounge area by the bar and saw Loki sitting on a couch alone. I walked over and sat by him. "You know brother, I'm no longer a child. Meaning I no longer need your protection." Loki sulked in his seat. "Nor your judgment."
"Y/n I'm only trying to help." Loki let out. I could hear the concern in his voice.
"I know your intentions are well but I can handle myself." I explained to him.
"You can't know for sure if it is safe to be around him. Clearly, a lot has happened in the time that you've been away from Midgard. Perhaps he is no longer able to be saved." Loki sighed. He has never been very optimistic, though I was expecting him to believe in me.
"Everyone is able to be saved." I smiled. "Even if it is simply their own darkness within they can be saved from it."
Loki sat in silence for a moment. "Very well sister," he let out. "But if you need us to run in and rescue you I'd be happy to do so." He smiled at me then hugged me. There was no comfort such as a hug from someone you cherish.
After a few moments, Bruce walked in. "Hey uh Y/n, sorry if I'm interrupting something but he's awake." Bruce informed me.
"Thank you, Dr. Banner, I'll be right there." I smiled. Before leaving to see Bucky I looked at my brother. "Loki I will be fine. I swear it." Loki smiled and nodded his head once.
I got up and followed Bruce to the cell. "He's been awake almost immediately after I brought him what you asked," Bruce explained. "The cell is extremely strong, though he hasn't put up much of a fight. He's been sitting in silence since I handed him your necklace."
As we walked up to it I saw Bucky through the glass. He sat on his knees with my locket in his hands just staring at it. "Bruce, can you let me in please?" I requested. Bruce nodded his head and opened the door just long enough for me to get inside.
Bucky sat silent for a minute. "Where did you get this?" He mumbled under his breath still staring at the locket. He sounded so broken.
"It is mine," I explained. "Though I thought I could give it to you in hopes it helps you to feel happier."
"You're lying!" He shouted still staring down. "I gave this to my love, my doll, 70 years ago! She's gone! She's dead! You stole it from her!"
He quickly got up and pinned me against the wall. I remained as calm as possible. "Y/n do you need me to pull you out of there?" Bruce asked through the speaker.
"Or he could send me in for backup?" Natasha offered.
"No, leave it." I insisted, still making eye contact with Bucky. "I've got this. You do nothing until I say so." I told Bruce.
"Where is she?!" Bucky gritted through his teeth. He was furious, though I don't blame him he's confused no doubt. He hasn't seen me in decades then after those decades of torture, he finds out in somehow still alive.
"You know Buck," I paused as he tightened his grip on my wrists. "'We still gotta spend eternity together now that we've found each other."
Buckys eyes grew wide as his hands released me. He sat himself back on the floor against the wall.
"Y/n what are you doing in there alone it's not safe?!" Steve shouted over the speaker.
Bucky looked up at me. "That Steve?" He questioned. I nodded my head. "Even Steve doesn't trust me." He sulked down.
"But I do." I reached my hand out and helped him stand. He pulled me in close and hugged me. "I missed you so much!" He cried into my shoulders.
We pulled apart and I looked as he leaned against the wall staring down at my necklace. "I'm gonna see about them getting a bed in here for you. Hopefully, you'll get more comfortable then we'll work on getting you out of a cell. For now, though it's just for safety so we may monitor you." I told him. "I'll send Steve in. He's missed you a lot."
I walked out the door and stood by the controls for the room. Bucky couldn't see me through the one-way mirror, but I could see him and speak when needed. "He's all yours Rogers." I smiled as Steve walked in to greet Bucky.
