> Chapter 36: Reliving the nightmare

> Carson's POV:

>

> "Yes this is Carson Daily, Officer Marshalls called me and wanted to speak with me before the trial of Alex Cane. I was just wondering if I could possible come in today.." I said to the other speaker on the line.

>

> "Of course. You can come in any time today. Its kind of a slow day." The officer on the other line laughs a little.

>

> "Great, thanks so much. I'll be in, in a little bit." I say and then we both hang up. I walk into the living room where I find Niall sitting on his phone. His always on his dang phone. But so am I when hes not around.

>

> Tyler left a while ago and mom and dad where gone shopping for food so it was just me and Niall. My parents aren't home most of the time. Mostly just at night. He smiles when he see me.

>

> "You look pretty." He comments. I roll my eyes but sit on his lap.

>

> "I always do." I joke with him.

>

> "Well well, have my complements finally caught up with you and got to your head?" He says looking at me oddly. I shrug. "Maybe. But I have to go to the police station today. You don't have to come its going to be long and boring."I tell him with my arms wrapped around his neck. He shakes his head.

>

> "No way, I'm going. I want to be there for you through this." He hugged me close. In a way I was glad but I also didn't want him to have to deal with this. It wasn't his fault this happened and it wasn't his job to be there for me though it.

>

> "Niall, are you sure?I can go by myself, you can stay here go play Tyler's games or something." I say to him she shakes his head like crazy.

>

> "No way. I want to be there for you. You shouldn't go through this alone." He kisses my head. For a second I think it over. Then give in. Having him there would make it easier. I know it was an awful thing to do though.

>

> "Okay, well I'm already to go. How about you?" I ask him. He nods.

>

> "Yup, lets go" He stands pulling me with him.

>

> ---

>

> "Hello, I'm officer Marshalls. Thank you for coming down here." A woman in an officers uniform walks into the room.Shes taller for a woman and has her dark brown hair in a tight bun on her head. I stand from the table I've been told to sit in to shake her hand.

>

> "Its no problem." I tell her and we take our seats. The room looks like one off of the T.V shows where they take suspects and question them. Theres one metal table in the room and a one way glass window on one of the walls. Theres a chair in the corner of the room and two at the table. I'm sitting at one of the chairs and she sits in the other.

>

> "So, I know you don't want to be here through all of this. But I'm personally thanking you for being here. I know what your going through because it happened to me. I was about your age too. I was with a man who I thought loved me, but he started abusing me and I wanted to get away but I couldn't because I was scared and even after all the abuse, I still loved him. Crazy how much you can love someone." She shakes her head smiling. I nod knowing what she meant. " Only did I finally get away from him when he put me in the hospital and police came and questioned me and knew I was lying. One man helped me particularly. He told me that hes seen these cases before and if I lie to them the man I was with was going to kill me one day. So I told them the truth got my ex- locked up and now that man that helped me is my husband and were happily married with two kids." She tells me her story. Its actually really inspiring to hear another persons story. To know that she over came what happened to her and now she has two kids and a husband. I wanted that to be me. I wanted to move on from this deal with it and get it over with and move on. But it was harder said then done.
