Chapter 49: Getting Home

I woke up to the sound of someone humming. I opened my eyes and saw that the car was moving. I could see out of the windows again and we were driving. I sat up and looked at Niall humming some tune. "How are we driving?" I ask Niall. " Hey! Good morning babe! I woke up really early and turns out we weren't even that deep into the snow. I uncovered the tires from getting out of the back door and some how managed to get us out. I was shocked when you didn't wake up. But you've been snoring away." He grins as I try and get back up front with him. "I don't snore." I whine. He chuckles at me. I look at him, hes changed and brushed his hair. Did he stop somewhere? "No, but you have been talking." He grins at me. I blush instantly. I had to have been talking about my dream. I was with Niall and we were back at my house in the tree house and we were somewhat...kinda making out. Right smack in the middle of a heated make out session. "Don't worry, love. I'm glad it was with me rather than someone else." He says and I cover my face in my hands. How can he still manage to make me so embarrassed. Its so unfair. "Hey, come on! Were coming to a stop. Can I have my good morning kiss?" He asks just as we stop. I look at see were at a stop light. I lean over and Niall presses his lips to mine. He opens them slightly giving me the taste of mint. "You brushed your teeth." I comment pulling away. He steps on the gas and we creep forward. "Yeah, I stopped at a..what is it.. truck stop? And changed and brushed my teeth. I was going to wake you but I didn't want to mess up your dream." He says and I smack his arm. "Perv." I say smiling at my cheeky boyfriend. "No, but you looked to cute. I couldn't wake you up." He says. I smile at him. "Are we almost to Tennessee?" I ask him changing the subject. "Yeah actually. I also checked if they had any open flights anytime soon. We have 4 hours until the flight and we should be there in about 2." He says. How are we that close? "Wait Niall, what time is it?" I ask him. He checks his phone while driving which I scolded him for. "You asked!" He defended himself. "Its 11:15." He said. "Holy crap! How did I sleep that long? What time did you get up?"Thats really late. I usually wake up way before that. It must have been staying up with Niall last night and plus car rides make me sleep like a baby. Always have, there just so peaceful. "Uh, well the sun was barley up. So early." He says then I notice he has his phone. "You got a phone charger to?" I ask him. He nods and starts humming a long to the radio. "Your in a really good mood." I comment looking him over. He just looks like hes glowing. He looks happy and just so himself. The boy I love so much. The happy, carefree, loving one. He was just so amazing, even the simplest things as getting us unstuck from the snow, buying a charger, letting me sleep in. "I am, I'm going home with the most beautiful girl in the world for Christmas.Why would I not be happy?" He asked me. I just starred at him. "I don't know. But I know, that Charlie is going to be mad. We had plans for today and were going to have to go straight to your parents." I say then start searching for my phone. I'll call Charlie. She must be worried, the boys too. "No we don't. Its only saturday. We don't have to be there until monday. We can leave monday morning if we have too." He says smiling at me. "Oh my gosh! Its only saturday!" I clap excited. I gained a day. Niall laughs at the little dance I'm doing. "Your such a dork." He giggles at me. I take my phone and plug it into the car charger. It lights up quickly. I silently wait for it to load while Niall sings with the radio. I listen to his voice as I look for Charlie's contact. I find it and dial her number. "Carson Renee Daily!" She screams in my ear. "Charlie!" I say in a more hopeful tone. She doesn't pick up on it. "Why did you not tell me that your driving all over the country with Niall while I sit here worried sick about why you didn't get on a plan and fly your butt over here! I'm pregnant its not good for me to be stressed." She says ranting on and on. "Its not good for me either!" I hear Liam call. I giggle. "I'm sorry, I didn't know that I would be. I've been busy and then my phone died and Niall broke the charger. Wait..how did you find out?" I ask her. "Niall called Lou this morning who called Harry who called Zayn who called Liam who told me. So I was the last one to know and I have been freaking out all night." She states. "Well calm down. I'm fine. Plus Niall and I will be there today. I'll see you tomorrow? I think? Niall?" I say looking at him. He nods smiling. "Yup, tomorrow. Promise." I say to her. "Fine. Also..I got the thing for you." She says. I grin. "Great, see you tomorrow." I say before hanging up. She got it! Yes! Niall is going to freak out! "Bye!" She says with a little happiness in her voice. "Li! Stop! Don-" I hear her say before the line gets cut off. Liam must have been doing something to her.
