In this place where I live
Where I grow
There is magnificence.

Red roses pose in the front
And sunflowers smile behind them
And I, I gaze in awe a few feet down.

I am no flower nor have I any charm
Green skin and young heart
Peeking up between branches.

Seeking the delicate sprouts of beauty
Buds and blossoms fall beside me
And serve my nostrils fragrances sweet.

Portrait this moment, may I hold it dear?
In this place where I exist
Without beauty of my own

I will keep this canvas
Painted with the sweet scents of flowers
And the sky above me, blue

This silhouette I paint with my eyes
Nakedness and rare beauty
My reason to live, though without bloom.
