At the stroke of midnight, a thunder roars

'Tis a rumbling rolling clap in the sky

A bellow to the clouds for rain that pours

A struck from lady lightning, passing by.

Below the sheets, toddlers tremble in fear,

frightened by the rains that batter the roof

As if blinding the moon, darkness draws near

By a gale, wind chimes clang to silence, poof!

Still, the tempestuous monster pelts the ground,

Till the cock crows and the moon goes to sleep

Waken children still wouldn't make a sound

Soon, a brazen light, through the windows peep

The dark doth fade, the rains doth stop, all glad

As 'tis the news from their friend, yellow lad.
