3rd Person POV...

"How are you feeling?" Megumi questions the blond as he feels his forehead to check for fever. He's really warm which concerns Megumi. Uraume places the cold, damp towelette back on the omega's forehead. His golden brown eyes give away how tired he is, if it wasn't obvious enough by his feverish appearing body.

"Tired... I don't feel so good. When he healed me, it felt like my bones were being broken and then forced back into place. It hurts a lot." He explains the best of his ability, his voice coming out hoarse. Uraume hands a glass of water to Megumi who then helps the blond up, having him drink some of the cool liquid. He does so but in small portions, falling back down on the mattress.

"I'd say this was a success!" Mahito grins, clapping his hands together. Sukuna rolls his eyes while Uraume glares at the curse. Megumi looks up at him confusedly, how could this be anywhere close to successful? The boy looks as if he is mere seconds from death, it's not anything to be excited about. Then there is the baby that seems healthy, it's going to live but perhaps without it's mother at this rate.

"Why do you look confused? Fushiguro, you will be able to handle Sukuna's ability to heal him, he's done this many times for you before and you have cursed energy. This normal human is going to die but you won't." Mahito explains to the teen. Guilt presses down on Megumi once more as he sees the boy fighting for survival while his life is almost guaranteed at this point.

"Uraume, is there anything we can give him to help? Maybe medicine to ease his pain?" Megumi questions with desperate eyes. Uraume hesitates, knowing his Master Sukuna won't like it if he assists in this nobody's survival. Personally, he hates all human scum except Megumi. Yet, he has the need to help his pup who requires his assistance. Sighing, he bows his head and shakes his head 'no'.

"Nothing comes to mind, Blessing." Uraume lies causing Sukuna to smirk slightly in approval. Megumi clenches his jaw, looking down in defeat. Itadori was right, he doesn't actually have anyone here. Megumi feels his blood boil, why can't they help him instead of behaving like this? This boy's life is on the line and if they cared about Megumi like they claim then shouldn't they want to help assist him in something that's important to him?

"Fine, it's my fault for relying on any of you. I don't need your assistance, please leave." Megumi says calmly. Uraume is taken back by the coldness in the boy's voice and facial expression. Mahito becomes amused while Sukuna is only enraged that Megumi is still trying. When nobody makes movement, Megumi's look becomes harsher. "Please leave, I don't need your help."

Uraume bows before leaving while Mahito does as well. As much as he'd prefer to stay, Sukuna doesn't look like he's in the mood. "That includes you, Sukuna. I'd really appreciate space from you." Megumi says as he wets the towel again, placing it on the ailing, resting boy. His face is flushed red and his breathing is coming out in fast, short pants.

Sukuna clenches his jaw, his hands bawled in fists so tight his knuckles turn white. "Space? Is that your secret way of saying you plan to runaway with the brat? I was going to be patient but I simply can not knowing that you feel it's even an option-"

"I'm not running away and it's nice to know you're listening in on private conversations. I change my mind, I don't want to fight with you in the battle. I don't want to be by your side because if I can't even count on you to help me with something that is important to me then I can't rely on you in a situation as unpredictable and threatening as war. I'd prefer to stay here and don't worry, I won't run from you. If I planned on it then I would've ran away with Itadori while he offered." Megumi states calmly.

Sukuna snakes his arms around the younger's waist, planting a rough kiss onto his neck. Megumi is stiff as a board and doesn't relax in the embrace, his disinterest made clear. "You're furious with me, don't be. I'm quick to temper, you're aware of this. I don't like anyone being near or speaking to you. Do you not understand?" Sukuna questions, his four eyes stare intensely at Megumi's face in search for the expression he desires to see.

"I know, I'm not mad. Please let me go, I am going to nurse him back to health and if you get in the way I will never forgive you." Megumi pulls himself from the curse's possessive hold. Sukuna decides not to upset his wife anymore so he makes his way out the room, perhaps he'll pay Itadori a visit. Megumi sits on the edge of the bed, his bottom lip trembling. A soft hand is placed on top of his and he flinches, looking to see the barley awoke omega.

"Please, don't cry....thank you for saving me." He weakly says, smiling a little. Megumi holds the stranger's hand back, struggling to keep back the tears that blur his vision. "I'm scared, I don't want to die but I don't want to suffer anymore. Blessing... please protect me." The blond pleads, tears streaming down his face. Megumi squeezes the soft hand, nodding. "Don't worry, I won't let them hurt you anymore."
