Tempestuous

~Chapter Fifty~

3rd Person POV...

      Uraume steps foot into the kitchen where Nobara, Toge, and Megumi have different concoctions created. "Blessing, dinner is ready to be served. What are you creating, shall I assist you?" Uraume questions, bewildered as to why baby bottles meant for Master Sukuna and Queen Megumi's children —exclusively— are being filled.

      "Thank you, Uraume. I'll go shortly." Megumi's reply is brief before taking the three bottles into his arms. "I'd appreciate it if you could take Nobara and Inumaki to where they are suppose to be. I have to stop by Aoi's room first." He doesn't wait for a response before exiting the kitchen, hurrying to the starving infant. One of the bottles contains what Nobara claims is homemade formula, Toge's is filled with blended natural fruits mixed with room temperature water that was boiled beforehand, while Megumi's... well we'll see how the other two work out first.

       He enters the bedroom and Aoi is surprisingly awake, his baby holding onto his finger tightly. "I brought different options. Maybe we'll start with this one? Unless you want to try this one?" Megumi awaits Aoi's response. His golden brown eyes flicker between the two before he tries the formula mixture first. The baby tastes some of it before moving his head away, beginning to loudly cry. The sound makes Megumi wince, handing Inumaki's mixture over.

It almost proves to be a success when he's quiet but then he moves away again. "...Try this one." Megumi hands over his and Aoi takes it, pressing the nipple of the bottle to the infant's lips. Like a leech, it latches on eagerly. No more wiggling and no more crying. Aoi lets out a shocked laugh, looking at Megumi in cheerfulness. "It worked! Thank you so much Blessing, what's in this?"

"...Breastmilk and blood." Megumi mumbles, being honest. He expected Aoi to be disgusted or even panic. Instead, he's silent for a minute before a small, content smile is on his face. Megumi didn't want to make this bottle, despite knowing it could work. Nobara told him to stop being selfish because the baby deserves to survive and Inumaki-Senpai —embarrassingly— helped Megumi.

The blood part was carefully considered, Megumi knows Sukuna is a cannibal and other curses enjoy human blood. Therefore, he took a risk to see and it proved fortunate as the baby is already halfway done with the bottle. "I'll continue making these bottles for him and I'll be back later to check on you both. I have to go now." Megumi gets up and exits the room while Aoi waves slightly. He should hurry before Sukuna throws a fit because he isn't there at dinner.

        Upon arrival, he takes his rightful seat near Sukuna who sat at the head of the table. "What took you so long?" Sukuna looks at his wife with an expressionless face. Uraume begins setting down everyones dishes and drinks silently while purposely ignoring the seductive look he gets from Toji. On the other side of Megumi sat Nobara and across from him is his whiny teacher, Gojo.

"I was busy with Aoi-"

"Aoi? Who is Aoi?" Sukuna interrupts making Megumi glare at his lover. The tension in the air is scarily thick and it's quite obvious how piqued Megumi is towards the curse. Once finished setting, Uraume exits the dinning room and waits quietly outside the doors in case he is summoned.

"The omega, his name is Aoi Mabuchi. We'll talk about it later. Can we eat?" Megumi questions while looking at Sukuna with a enervated look. His body feels drained and the cramping in his stomach isn't helping either, the baby is growing and he can feel more movement than before. Sleep is what he desires more than the delicious arrays of food set by Uraume.

"Don't overburden yourself." Sukuna replies before the group begins to eat. Some conversation is made between the friends. Nanami, Toji, and Gojo talking here and there although Megumi and Sukuna both remain silent. Sukuna feels deep concern for his wife who barley eats anything, his mind seemingly elsewhere.
