After that morning, me and Louis spent all day cleaning up the house. I spent hours cleaning up the rubbish and he mopped and hoovered. Millie was still in bed as she had a very rough night and didn't feel like getting out of bed. After the cleaning was done we both nearly collapsed. We had done a good job, it looked exactly how it did before people even came round. That day we mainly sat on the couch and watched Tv. I didn't have the effort for anything else.
It was sunday. Today Louis was going to take me to Covent Garden as a little birthday date. He knew I loved it there, there was this one stall that sold the best churros in London. I used to go there with my Mum a lot. He was picking me up at 12. I did have to tell Millie that I was out with my aunt for the day just so she wouldn't suspect that I was with Louis. I will tell her soon. I have to tell her at some point.
The doorbell rang. I rushed down from my bedroom as quickly as I could hoping that my Dad wouldn't open the door. Running down the stairs I screamed "I GOT IT!!" making sure he wouldn't see Louis waiting outside. Grabbing my bag I opened the door.
His hand was in his black trouser pocket and the other was holding a bouquet of Lilies. My favourite. He was wearing a red jumper and his hair was in a beanie with his hood up. He looked great. Perfect even. He smiled. I ran over to hug him, smelling his cologne as my arms wrapped around him.
He extended his arm and pushed the bouquet towards me.
L: "these are for you."
I blushed.
Y: "who knew Louis Partridge was such a romantic?"
I laughed.
L: "Ha ha very funny."
I popped back inside to put the flowers in a vase and closed the door.
I was just following Louis as I had no idea of what line to take. I hated taking the tube, especially at rush hour. I get really claustrophobic when loads of people start to come in. The tube started off quite empty but at each stop the tube made the more and more people came in and the more anxious I became. As more and more people loaded onto it the harder I felt it was to breathe. I closed my fists so tightly that my nails dug into my palms. Breathing was hard. Really hard. He looked over to me and noticed my shortness of breath. He placed me so my back faced the tube wall. Then he created space between us and put his arm just above my shoulder.
L: "Just look at me. You're ok. Focus on me."
I did what he said and I felt my breathing slowly become easier and deeper.
He smiled.
The tube announced our spot and we finally got off.
We had made it to covent garden and it was exactly how I remember it, nothing has changed. I took his hand as I guided him to my favourite restaurant we were going to eat at. I was very eager to sit down as my feet were aching. We got to a table at Chulio's and Louis ordered a fry up and I ordered a fried chicken burger, which was delicious by the way. Mine came first which really annoyed Louis as he was very hungry, he kept nicking my cucumber. After 5 minutes Louis was finally happy as his food came and he finished it in a couple of minutes, i think i underestimated how hungry he was.
"Louis! Stop nicking my Cucumber!"
He continued to grab another one while putting it in his mouth and smiling.
His smile dropped.
"Y/n quick hide."
He pushed my head down making me go under the table. I was well hidden as the table cloth was hiding me.
I saw footsteps reach the table.
J: "Louis hey."
L: "Hey james.. What are you doing here?"
His hand flapped under the table telling me to move back.
J: "Just out with Mum doing shopping and that"
He looked over at the other plate.
J: "Oh.. are you with someone?"
L: "No no no. just me and only me. I get really hungry. That's why there's two plates, no other reason."
"Okay... Well it was nice seeing you Louis."
"Yeah you to."
He smiled as he walked off.
He waited.
"Okay, you're clear."
I rose up from the table and sat back down.
Y: "That was close."
L: "Yes it was."
He sighed with relief and laughed.
Louis paid for the bill which obviously I told him not to but he kept saying to shut up and let him pay so eventually i did. We took a detour from going back home and went though the London streets, Louis got approached by a man selling dummies which was probably one of the oddest and funniest things i had ever seen. We got on the tube and made our way home. I darted my eyes around to see how many more people were coming. He grabbed my hand and his hands and mine intertwined. His touch could make me feel so relaxed as i knew that he was there if i needed him.
We arrived at the tube station and walked the rest of the way. I complained about my feet hurting and how I couldn't walk any longer.
Louis replied with "hope on then" and crouched down.
"Louis I will crush you."
I laughed.
"Don't be silly, Come on then."
Reluctantly I hopped on his back and wrapped my arms around his neck. He managed to carry me the whole way home, I was very impressed. As soon as we reached my front porch, he plopped me down onto the pavement. I hugged him goodnight and then i walked to my front door.
He whispered "oh shit, yeah."
"y/n."
I turned.
"I forgot to give you this."
He pulls out a tiffany box from his pocket and continues to open it. Inside was a ring with a purple rhinestone on top. It was beautiful.
"Louis, you need to stop spending this much money on me."
He smiled.
"Give me your hand."
He gently grabbed my hand and pulled the ring out of the box. Placing it on my middle finger i noticed that on the underneath it had the initials L+y/i. He slid it onto my finger and gently kissed my hand.
L: "Perfect."
Y: "Thank you but don't spend this much again ok!"
He smiled and drew me towards him with his eyes, he inclined his face down and kissed my lips. I would never get used to the butterflies I felt every time he kissed me. He pulled away and smiled.
I walked to the front door and opened it and turned back, I didn't want this to end.
He smiled "and oh by the way y/n i'm coming to watch you play on saturday with Mum and that."
"Ok Louis, Goodnighttt"
"Goodnight. y/n"
I closed the door and saw the roses on the table where I had left them. I grabbed them and moved them to my room and put them on my desk. I ruffled the flowers so that they looked nice. My hand felt a card attached to one of the flowers, I pulled it out. It was a picture of me and Louis when we went on our first date. I smiled and hung the picture on my mirror. I felt really tired so i got ready for bed and went to sleep. Louis seemed to make the worst of days turn into amazing ones. He could change my mood in an instant.
