Katie
Waking up Sunday morning I was stangely nervous, Chris had called me late the night before asking if I wanted to pop over today and spend sometime with him. I of course did, and I was really looking forward to it, but even though he said he wanted to see me I had this feeling that he didn't know why.
I made it to Chris house a little after 11am, knocking I was sundenly worried that his mum or dad would answer the door and I'd be stuck talking to them like everything was normal. Luckly Sophie opened the door. Me and Sophie got along quite well and she was the only one that knew about me and Chris (not out of choice she walked in on us) but it was nice that she did know because it meant that we could become friends.
"Hey Katie, how are you doing?"
I didn't really say anything and she hugged me, which I guess was the right thing to do but in a wrong way because I started crying.
"Oh Katie, I'm sorry."
"It's OK it's not your fault, its just I keep thinking I should tell him but I don't want to freak him out and lose him. I don't understand how Tiffany can be so horrid." I told her wipeing my eyes.
"Its Ok, Katie. I've spoken to him, more time with you is a good thing I promise. He feel's, I don't know drawn to you and I think that's good." She told me patting me on the arm.
"How do I look?" I asked turning away from the hall mirror and smiling at her.
"Fine, now go and see Chris." she told me and I headed of to his Den.
Chris's Den was actually the basement, but his mum and dad had converted it for his 16th birthday, it had a sofa and tv, DVD's, games console's and games, bar area and sink with all sorts of drinks and snacks and a football table in the middle. It was definitly his "mancave" as I always joked.
I walked in and saw him sitting on the sofa with his laptop on the coffee table in front of him, he didn't look happy.
"Hello." I said tentivitly.
"Oh hey Katie, do you want a drink?" he closed the laptop down and walked over to the kitchen area.
I took his seat in front of the laptop as I replied.
"Yes please."
I opened the laptop up and saw that the screen had a warning message open incorrect password please try again. I typed in my fall name and then left it open.
"How about I help you?" I asked standing up, he was still stood in the middle of the bar area.
"Thanks, I hate not knowing where things are, sorry." He says turning towards me and even though I knew I shouldnt I touch his arm.
"Things will get better Chris."
I grab the glasses from the cupboard and then got a can of diet coke for myself and a can of coke for him. I was just pouring them both when I realised he was still staring at me.
"Sorry did you not want a coke?" I asked realising a little to late that I was just getting him what I always did.
"No it's fine I was just wondering, well a few things really. How did you know they were hidden back there? How did you know I liked coke?"
"Well I kinda helped you hide them back there, Sophie used to come in here and steal them all the time so we stuck them there so she couldn't find them." I smiled up at him.
"Tiffany said I only drink water and beer."
I choked on my sip of coke.
"Chris you never drink beer." I told him before I could stop myself.
