As soon as I walked into the bowling alley I could see Katie had done a wonderful job. The place looked amazing and Sophie looked so happy. She gave me a hug and I slipped her present in her pocket.

"Happy birthday sis." I told her as she was taken away by her friends.

I looked around for her Katie but couldn't spot her anywhere, I finally found her when the music came back on; she was out back.

"Katie?" I called knocking on the office door.

I heard a comontion coming from the otherside like she was tiding up, when she opened the door I could tell she'd been crying.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"Nothing," she lied smiling.

I looked at her and I hated that I couldnt comfot her.

"Thank you for all this Katie," I told her trying to show her that I wouldn't pry.

"It's OK, I wanted to help," she told me.

We walked back outside and could see that people where well and turly in the party mood, people were bowling, rollerskating and playing in the arcade some where even sitting in the food court waiting to be served.

"I've got a feeling this is going to be a big clean up job," I told Katie.

She turned to me and laughed. it made her whole face light up and I couldn't wait to make her laugh again.

"You of course don't remember, but you said you'd tidy up so I could go home early," she told me still laughing as she walked away.

I really hoped she was joking but not about the tidying, just about her going home earlier. I would happily clean up while she watched just as long as I got to spend time with her.
