14. The golden moon

" Take over, alpha"

The moment the words come out from Taehyung's mouth like a dominating Whisper, Jungkook's eyes shut close and opened fast.
There stood the true blood-red burning eyes, powerful smirk, and the most dominating aura. A red blush tinted on Taehyung's already pink cheeks. He smiled shyly. The alpha held his hands gently.

"Hi, there. My beautiful mate"

JK said, voice deeper than normal. Taehyung felt the red aura of Mars embracing him like his mate's eyes. He was not feeling alive at that moment. With a low voice, he replied.

"Hello, alpha."

"Missed me?"

Taehyung nodded. He knows how V was howling and whining to take over. But he's not ready to give the golden opportunity to the wolf- he earned it.

Taehyung felt shy at his mate's gaze. Really? Do these things were there in his system? He never knew he can be shy like--he thought that the system is long broken or non-existent. What the hell is happening now?

"Hey, don't be shy, pup. Talk to me. I want to hear your beautiful voice."- The true blood said, making Taehyung shyer at the nickname.

Beautiful is not a new word for him. But hearing that from someone you wanted to hear hits different. Taehyung doesn't feel disgusted now.

"Did- did you miss me? "- he stuttered while asking. His mate smiled.

"You've no idea how much. I miss you every second when I'm away from you."- the alpha said.

"That's not the vibe the other giving"- Taehyung said. The alpha got the omega referenced 'other' is the human side.

Taehyung nodded at the alpha's words. People say that the inner wolf and human side are the same, with some thoughts and points. But Taehyung knows, it's wrong in some cases. Even he and V are like south and north poles on a lot of things. So he can imagine the difference between JK and Jungkook.

Silence covered them and Taehyung looked at his alpha. The red eyes are no more.

It's golden- pure glittering golden; holy Moon Goddess!

Taehyung skipped a heartbeat. His mate's eyes are golden and they're filled with deep emotions; something like pain? Guilt? Sorry? But why?

He felt the burning gaze of that golden eyes on his mate mark. Now it makes sense.

"I'm sorry, pup. I'm so sorry.
I - I had to mark you wi-without your consent. I was too overwhelmed and in the bliss that I forgot about the surroundings, about you, about Jungkook's words, about the pain you'll have to suffer. I'm so so so sorry"

The alpha said. His golden eyes are filled with water. Tears sparkling as he looked at Taehyung's blue eyes. He can't let his alpha feel bad. He can't see him sad. And he can't let V take over.

"If you can, please forgive me..."

The words come out like a whisper. Taehyung was too overwhelmed with the alpha's hurt and guilty-filled words that he forgot about everything and took the alpha's hands in his, put them closer to his heart.

"I...I..."
He was cut off by the alpha.
"Don't forgive me that easily, pup. I will do anything to make it up to you. I want you to forgive me wholeheartedly. "

The alpha's eyes are like full moon covered with golden light. Taehyung was confused to pick between them- red or golden? Whatever Taehyung admired both endearingly.

"Will you do anything?"-he asked with a smug smile.

"Anything"- the alpha replied.

"You know-- when you- marked me and me -- fell into the water unconsciously because of the pain, and after that the wound and infections-- I was hurt too badly.
I-- I felt alone, helpless, and weak. I couldn't even heal. And there's no one I had to go and cry my heart out and talk about the pain. You- you weren't here. I suffered alone."- he paused.

"Now that you're here, stay with me. Stay with me, alpha."

Taehyung's voice cracked down. He wasn't feeling weak by opening his heart but free. He felt strong freedom embracing him with his mate's alluring scent. He never thought being on the verge of crying, pleading to someone to stay, and being the weak omega he hates to be will give him this pleasure; the euphoria of freedom.

Taehyung found the golden eyes looking at him fondly. They lied on the soft bed facing each other. His mate's eyes never leaving the omega's face. V was whining inside. He too wants to feel the alpha. But Taehyung is stronger.

Not now, not today, V

Taehyung wanted this. He fought with Jungkook to be with jk, to see the marvelous red golden eyes, to be touched, to feel the tingling sensation again.

He felt the soft fingers touching the mark and alpha's eyes on him- asking him something silently. Taehyung blushed and nodded. Jk moved closer to his mate.

When the soft feather-like lips touched the mate mark, Taehyung closed his eyes and melted in the feeling. His alpha was leaving butterfly kisses on his sensitive skin.

Taehyung pressed his lips tightly only to hear the alpha saying in a low raspy voice.

"What's stopping you, pup? "

That's it. Taehyung gasped and let out breathy moans as the alpha continued with his work.

Moments later, they looked into each others' eyes. JK's eyes are red now. Taehyung blushed hard. The alpha pulled him closer. He slowly patted the soft hair of the omega and whispered in his ear.

"Pup, I know you're wounded and hurt. And we- me and Jungkook are the reason for that. We're sorry." - the alpha paused to look at the mate's eyes.

"I just want to tell you, there are some wounds that can only be healed by the one who gave it to you. Some wounds can be healed by me, by you, and even by Jungkook. Forgotten wounds will never let you move on, healed wounds can. So don't let the hate and pain steal the chance of curing your scars. Okay, pup?"

Taehyung looked at JK with admiration. It was like he knows what Taehyung wanted to hear. He felt happy that his alpha understands his complex mind.

"Yes, alpha"- Taehyung said.

"I know my pup is a good boy"

"Now, let's sleep"- JK said and Taehyung nodded. He cuddled to the alpha, breathing his most favorite scent and closing his eyes. Soon, they fell into a deep slumber.
