28. Dark hallways

"What happened?"

The army General looked at the head alpha wanted to convey what happened but stopped himself. Alpha Jungkook got what he meant.

"Private conference room, in five minutes."
He announced. The warriors left with the Army general and public relations head. Jungkook walked towards Taehyung who stood there confused.

"Go to sleep. Don't worry. I will come back after the meeting. Okay?"
The head alpha said to his mate. Taehyung nodded. Soon, he left with Jin and Jimin.

"Someone tried to break into our packhouse. Also, some rogues are spotted at our borders. They tried to harm locals and pups."

The army general said. His tone was cold like the darkroom and silent ambiance.
The head alpha looked at the male.

"Are the pack members fine?"
Alpha Jungkook asked.

"Yes, alpha. They're safe. A little stunned by the sudden attack. But fine"
The public relations head, Yoongi said.
Jungkook nodded.

"We doubled the patrolling and protection at the borders. No one can intrude to our pack."
Kim Namjoon said.

"Keep an eye on the borders and the rogues. I want no one of my pack members to get hurt. Assure the safety of the locals and pups. Got it?"
The alpha said. The males nodded.

"Alpha, about the one who tried to broke into the packhouse, we got the intruder."
Breaking the silence into a strong tension, the army general said. Alpha Jungkook looked angry.

"He tricked our guards. But we got him. He is in our dungeon and already injured a lot. We are thinking about interrogation tomorrow."

Alpha Jungkook stared at the dark. How can someone do that to his pack? He has to find out about this male fast.

"Anything additional about him?"
The younger asked the Army general.

"Alpha, he's an omega."

Taehyung was so energetic that he didn't want to sleep that night. His heart and soul are happy. His body wanted to dance and scream how ecstatic he's feeling right now.

When the alpha left for the meeting, Taehyung didn't want to sleep alone in his room. He looked at Jimin who was already looked bored.
"Wanna have fun?" Jimin asked his best friend.

"Hell yeah, " Taehyung said. The friends giggled and walked to the backyard garden.

Both males sat near the pond, putting their legs in the water, letting themselves calm with the past midnight moon. Taehyung played with the water. He was giggling occasionally.

"Hey, Taetae. Why are you so happy today ?"
Jimin asked the enjoying omega. Taehyung looked at his friend. Oh, he's so happy to say this to Jimin.

"Jiminie... Jungkook and I just sorted out things between us. We talked aaand... We're good now. "

Taehyung said with heart eyes while remembering the little but happiest things that happened between the mates today.

"Oh my God, look my Taetae is blushing... Moon Goddess, I'm so so so happy for you both. Finally, you guys are together... Thank you, moon Goddess..."

Jimin said tightly hugging his soulmate. Of course, he's happy for both of them. He witnessed how much the mates suffered in those days. Taehyung blushed between the hug.

They played a little with water, talked about random things, watched the moon from afar. While putting his head on Jimin's lap and letting his friend ruffle his soft hair, Taehyung closed his eyes in glee.

After good minutes of silence, Taehyung opened his eyes, confused. He wanted to tell something to Jimin. But he doesn't know-how. The omega bit his lips and asked in a low voice.

"Jiminie... Can I ask you something?"

Jimin nodded while continue ruffling Taehyung's hair.

"Are you and... Hoseok... a thing? like..."
Taehyung noticed how Jimin stopped running his fingers on his hair and froze for a second. Then Jimin answered.

"No."

"Hoseok, me and Yoongi are a thing"

Spending time with Jimin is like the best decision of his life. Both males lost track of time. They talked a lot. Jimin explained how the three were in a deep relationship, how they three love each other and care nothing but their togetherness.

Taehyung actually felt amazed by whatever Jimin said. But more than that, he felt proud of his best friend and his mates. He doesn't know if he will ever able to accept and live like that. But Jimin, Hoseok, and Yoongi's love made him so emotional and think out of the box. He felt so happy from the bottom of his heart for the three males.

After their fun time, the best friends separated to go to their rooms. Soon the sun will rise and Taehyung wanted to be in his room and take a little rest or precisely wanted to wait for a certain alpha.

He walked through the dark corridors of the packhouse. In between counting the doors and humming a song to himself, Taehyung stopped himself in the mid-way. What was that? What was that sound?

He looked around. The doors on his left were closed. The sound was coming from the right. But his right is another dark hallway. Taehyung couldn't register what the sound is. Confused, he walked towards the right side through the dark hallway.

His heart was thumping fast. Was this the wrong way? What if something happens to him? No. Nothing can happen to him when he's in the packhouse, near his alpha and warriors. Taehyung calmed himself and continued walking.

His legs halted when he met with steps to the underground. What's in there?
More importantly, now the sound is clear.

Sobbing.

Why would he hear sobbing from the underground? Trembling but keeping his body and steps firm, the omega decided to walk down to the underground.

It was dimly light or you can say complete dark. Because when Taehyung entered, he couldn't see anything other than cells. There are iron chains and the smell is awful. He was in the dungeon of crystal moon.

The sight in front of him was not clear, but the sound is. He felt suffocated with the heartbreaking sobbing. Why would someone in the dungeon cry like that?

Taehyung looked around and found the last cell where a figure was sitting. Yes. The sound was coming from there. The male's head was on between his hands, hugging his knees close to his chest and tight, crying. Taehyung was scared a little but walked forward with a strong heart.

In the dim light from the broken window, Taehyung looked at the male. He tried to see the face. The constant sobbing isn't helping him. Taehyung tapped on the iron rod of the cell and cleared his throat. He noticed the injured legs are moving and the male is trying to lookup.

When the unknown male looked straight at Taehyung with red puffy eyes and swollen cheeks, Taehyung's heart broke. He was shattered into pieces after seeing the male's face. The omega sat down broken, holding the iron rod tightly to support himself.

His cold fingers touched the unknown male's hand and caressed softly. Taehyung covered his mouth with his other hand to stop himself from sobbing and giving up. The other male stopped crying and said.

"Taehyungiee..."

"Beakie Hyung..."

Nothing, just...BUTTER RELEASED TODAY!!!!
