35. Masks of Survival

It's been a week since the mates went to the cliff. Packhouse and members are fine. Namjoon was busy with his usual training. Jin was trying new recipes. Jimin and Hoseok were the same. Beakhyun was still in crystal moon but shifted to another house from the packhouse. Taehyung?

Well, he was missing a certain alpha. Why?

The head alpha and Public Relations head went for a meeting at La violet. The meeting was important for both of the pack. They have to figure out a lot of things about their strengths, strategies, etc...

The lonely room, the empty bed, the faded scent, everything made Taehyung hate being there. He wanted to be there where his alpha is.

Missing is a big term. But the feeling Taehyung had was like someone ripped apart the reason for his living. He felt dead inside.

Maybe he's overreacting. What's it? His alpha is away from him for a week. That's it. But No.

When Taehyung opened his eyes a week before, he met with a cold bed and a note next to his breakfast. Taehyung hated that he couldn't get a glance of the alpha when he was leaving.

It's not like Jungkook used to be there in front of his eyes every time. But the thought of the alpha having around the pack house made him safe. He missed the lavender and musk scent. He missed the strong hands the warm touches. He missed the sweet whispers and... And...that bunny smile.

Sad that he has to wait three more days.

After dinner, Taehyung walked through the dark hallways to his bedroom. He doesn't feel sleepy. And there's that feeling inside- like the air around him is not safe. And he hates it. He wanted to get rid of that thoughts soon. He wanted to hear those calming heartbeats again.

The male walked lost. Little did he know he was followed by a pair of eyes that was tracing his shadows to his fragile body.

The head alpha bid bye to everyone in the La violet. Yoongi walked in front of him. They reached the crystal moon in complete silence.

Jungkook was chatting with the alphas of La violet. The alpha is a kind man. La violet has never been a threat for them. They always helped crystal moon and their plans. That's when the true blood heard through his mind link.

"Jungkook, come home. Fast."

The head alpha walked inside with a stern expression. He glanced at the warriors and guards and instructed them to leave. Jungkook opened his office door, only to meet with a familiar man.
He sat down on the chair after locking the door.

The silence was broken when Jungkook said.

"What happened, Kai?"

The said male looked at the head alpha. His expression was unreadable. Kai inhaled sharply and said.

"They will attack us today. Chanyeol is trying hard to get Taehyung. He is planning to attack with the help of rogues so that we couldn't doubt them. "

Kai studied the alpha's expression. He found Jungkook's sharp features not flinching a little. There's a lot of reason why Kai admires this 'kid'.

He loves the mask Jeon Jungkook wears. He loves the clever mind and tactics Jungkook uses to win the game. He loves how honest and gentle the head alpha is towards the pack and pack members.
