Ebony is a kind-hearted yet fierce African woman. One day a Woman comes out of nowhere to take her job and replace her. Her Boss allows it. Undoubtedly because of the color of her skin. While she is having a break down the most handsome man she had...
I took in a deep breath as My dad held my arm in the crook of his arm. " Sweetie you look absolutely marvelous and I wish the best for you and Mason and your children from today forward. The best of the best only!" I couldn't help the bubbly laughter that tore through my chest. " Thank you, dad. So very much." Even though I was in heels Dad was still too tall for me to reach his cheek, to give him a kiss. He chuckled lightly as he brought his face to a lower level. A planted a sweet kiss on his cheek. And turned forward. "It's like the first time all over again." I could see Zena in the distance holding a basket of bright white petunias, yellow sunflowers and orange rose petals. She danced down the aisle. So care-free. Her kente dress the same as mine and Masons.
Zena finished throwing the flowers and found a seat next to my mom. Oliver was sleeping soundly wrapped tightly in a bright yellow blanket. The sun was out and shining and everyone we know was at our wedding again. Esmee, Macey, Gina! She traveled all the way from Spain to come and see us! Mason's side of the family. My mom and dad's side of the family. If anything this wedding is much, much bigger than the other one. I felt my eyes tingle with unshed tears. For so long the only person who I called family was Jensy. Now I had a real family. People who actually cared to even show up.
I thought it was our turn to walk down the aisle but I was sadly mistaken. Loud African music started to play from the speakers, and out came my cousins. Their dresses were dark orange almost copper. They danced out of the reception area and into the out garden. Their dresses fitted them immaculately. They danced and twerked to the song. Hyping each other up. They looked glorious.

My dad chuckled as my cousins danced down the aisle. This wedding was going to be awesome. My cousins line up on one side of the alter. Then it is our turn now. The piano starts but it is fast tempo and almost electric. OMG mom. So instead of walking, my dad and I are stepping. My dad was very in pace and on the beat. Left foot step, right foot in. Right foot step left foot in. I followed in suit and in no time were in from to of the altar. Mason grinned down at me and I returned it. The pastor wasted no time. We repeated after him in solemnity. "I do...again!" Mason chuckled at how excited I was. "You may kiss the b-" Mason pulled me to him and kissed me deeply before the pastor could finish his sentence. Everyone whooped and clapped.
