"What was the color theme for your other wedding?" My mom asked as she sipped a cup of coffee. She had shadows under her eyes. She was so excited about the new project she didn't sleep as much as she needed to. "Mom you have bags under your eyes you should take a break." She narrowed her eyes at me. "I do what I want. Anyway, answer the question!" I huffed but answered her question all the same. " It was blue. Similar to Mason's eyes. Deep and royal blue." My mom smiled and then she got up leaving her still full cup of coffee behind. Her bun bobbed as she hurried into her sewing room.
My father who sat on the couch on the other side of the living room laughed a hearty laugh. I joined in. I felt like I had all I could ever want now. My parents are my parents again and I have two wonderful children and an amazing husband.
