I enter my office and get situated. I'm opening up my laptop when I hear the phone ringing. Mason. I put on my sexy voice and pick up the call. "Hey, sexy where are you?" I see Ebony look at me questionably and slowly I see anger start to cloud her eyes. "Ashley get off me!" Ashley looks at me sweetly as if I hadn't been done with her for almost 1 year ago. Her shrill voice echos around my office. "Babe, what's the problem?" She must have felt Ebony's harsh stare at the back of her head because she turns around to look at her, she scoffs at Ebony. "Aren't you supposed to be out now? Your boss is busy, goodbye!" Ashley shoos Ebony away as if she is an animal. "What the hell?" Ebony growls with anger.

I push Ashley away from me, getting angry when she tries to hold on longer. "Let go, damn it!" Ebony starts to back away from the room towards the door. No, I don't want her to leave. I hurry over to her and grab her arm but she rips her arm away from me as if I had burned her. Her eyes fill with tears. But they don't spillover. Damn it. She goes to leave and this time I don't try to stop her because I fear that if I do she going to hate me even more. I choose to give her some space.

I turn around to see Ashley smirking at me. Triumph on her face. " I can't believe you seem to steep lower and lower every time. I'm the only queen you've dated. A shame you felt you had to leave me." She voiced cooly. "I stride quickly to the desk slamming my fist on the desk and yelling at her. "Leave! Leave! Fuck off!" She jumps in the seat for a second I see a flash of hurt and fear cross her face. And then she's back to her normal bitchy self. "You wanna know who put me up to this? Your very own sister. Your family members are so whack, none of them actually care...maybe your brothers care."

It feels like my chest is going to beat out of my heart. I grab Ashley by the arm and ignore her yells saying that I'm holding her too tight. I push her out of my office and slam the door in her face before she can say anything. I slide down the door and sit down on the floor putting my head between my hands and sighing. I feel my heart start to ache for Ebony. I close my eyes and sit there.

It's my fucking birthday and Mason and one of his clowns come and ruin it. This bitch was really shooing me away like WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK?! I'm walking down the sidewalk when I break out sobbing. It's a short while after I'm sobbing when I'm hit by a strong wave of De Ja Vu.

Just like when I got fired from my old job except for this time I'm leaving and I think I love him. No, I don't. He doesn't love me anyway he has Ashley or whatever to hold him. I stop walking when I feel a tap on my shoulder. I turn around and see a beautiful and tall white woman. She looks at me sympathetically and offers me a tissue. I take it gratefully and thank her.

"Hi! my name is Esmée. What about you?" I picked up a little accent in her speaking. She looked so kind. I sniffle before I tell her my name. "Um, my name is Ebony." She smiled. "Oh, what a beautiful name you have Ebony!" She then looked at me with concern. "Can I call you someone Ebony or are you okay?" She seemed nice but I was a little scared. Why are my emotions all over the place?  " I don't really know you so..." She looked a little hurt that I said that which immediately made me feel bad. My phone starts to ring and I go to pick it up but I realize it's Mason so I cut it off and put it back in my bag.

"Is it a guy?" I look up sharply at Esmee. She looks down sheepishly. " Sorry for being so nosy." I need to stop being so rude. "No Esmee thank you I actually appreciate you stopping and checking on me. I'm going to get a bite to eat wanna come with! it's my birthday and I don't want to waste my time crying over some guy." I reach for Esmee's hand and She clasps my hand eagerly in hers and we walk down the road towards the little IHOP. I m seriously craving some sweets. And as for Esmee, I might have just earned a new friend for life.
