Part 5 || 21 - A good feeling

Tom and I spend the night together talking about the baby and the process. Just like he said, he would be supportive if I decided to do it, he was supportive. He offered me to stay at his place with Derek and Timber, I really thought Jade would've moved in, because she's there all the time. I politely declined his offer but he was hell bent on helping me in times like this, so he said that once I would get pregnant and it would be difficult for me to do household chores, in his words, he will 'kidnap me'.

Emma, the twins, Tom, Derek, Jade and I were having dinner at Tom's, since they were the people who knew, we kinda formed another group apart from the HP family we had. I felt bad, but once I do get pregnant, I would tell them, so we could all go back to normal. "Alright, I've gotta go" I said looking at my watch.

"Now? Wouldn't it be after hours?" Emma asked helping me put the plates back in the sink. "Yes, but this is the time I do get, plus Dr. Turner understands and keeps it open for me. And he's not going to retrieve the egg today, he's going to check again if my endometrial layer is thick enough, I mean he already checked but that was in December and we've had three full cycles of IVF and I'm not pregnant" I said taking the support of the kitchen counter, "I can check that for you" Tom flirted as I rolled my eyes.

"See you guys tomorrow" I said taking my purse, petting Timber and heading for the door. As I was about to leave, "I can come if you want" Tom said as I opened the door. I turned around, "No, no, that's fine" I said, "It will hardly be a 10 minute appointment, I don't wanna waste your time, plus if Vin sees another guy, you're gonna have a stare-off" I mumbled the last part to myself.

"What?" Tom asked and I looked up, "N-Nothing, nothing, I'll see you tomorrow" I said and left for the doctor's. The clinic was an hour away from Tom's which was kinda boring, cause Julius and Nick found that fertility clinic as it was close to my home and it would be easy for me to go to the visits. I pulled up in front of the dark clinic, since it was after closing hours.

"Miss Y/L/N" Vin's assistant greeted me as she took my coat. "Thank you, is Dr. Calvin in?" I asked making her nod. "You know the protocol" she said as I went into his office and changed into the hospital gown - as I told earlier - was very comfortable. "Hello, Y/N" Vin greeted by just grazing our cheeks and not actually giving me a peck or the other way around.

Again, this time, his attire was completely different from what he usually wore when the clinic was busy. He wore a thin white t-shirt that had short sleeves and some ripped black jeans with his stethoscope loosely hung around his neck, not how doctors wear it always. His biceps were more visible this time and they involuntarily flexed as he moved his arms to do some work.

He may have asked me a question as I was busy looking at his body, "Y/N?" he asked and I snapped out of my ungodly thoughts. "Yeah?" I asked shifting a little on the hospital bed. "I asked, how are you feeling, any pain?" he asked making me shake my head no. "But these needles are killing me" I groaned making him chuckle.

"Here" he handed me meds so that I wouldn't feel pain much. He placed himself between my thighs and went under the blanket. "Can I ask you something?" I asked resting my hands on top of my stomach, "Yes, anything" he replied sweetly, still from under the blanket. "Well, I was just wondering if it takes so long for other women" I asked as I heard the clinic door open.

"It does, not for everyone, the answer might hurt you but women do get pregnant easily because of our method" he said as he came out of the blanket, "But don't worry, I have a good feeling about this" he said warmly as he placed a hand on my knee. The door of his office burst open and I saw Tom. How did he know Vin's office?

"Who's he?" Vin asked looking at me. Not this again. "Erm, Tom, this is Dr. Vin, erm Doc, this is Tom, my best friend" I said introducing them. If they behave like Rob and Vin did a month ago, I'll kill them. "Nice to meet you, Vin" Tom said offering a handshake, "Actually, it's Calvin" he said shaking his hand.
