Part 5 || 23 - Sweet spot

Two months have passed since I found out I was pregnant. Julius and Nick take their turns to visit me. Everyday at 5 PM, without forgetting Rob calls to check up on me, which Tom doesn't like. I was standing next to Jason as we were filming his trail scene and after that Tom and I were going to share another intimate scene. Honestly, for the first time, I was dreading it.

Apparently when you're preggo, you're hella horny, so... that worked out great for me.

"So, how do you feel?" Jason asked as I looked at my script, going through my lines. Everyone around the set knows about me and my situation and everyone has been so supportive. "Great, some morning sickness and terrible headache, apart from that just great!" I grunted sarcastically making him chuckle and put an arm around me, "You're strong than that love" he cooed as Tom came by.

"Hey, Dad" he greeted Jason making me chuckle, "Hey, son" Jason replied as we continued to converse about my pregnancy for another ten minutes. "Alright, take positions!" we took positions and waited for the clapperboard, "Action!"

The case that I was dreading to do. Not because I didn't want to. No, because I was nervous that I didn't have enough evidence. The judge arrived and banged the gavel three times. "Trial as of 23rd June into the crimes committed by Lucius Malfoy. Interrogators – Christian Cox, Head of Auror Office and prosecutor – Eli Roth" he said looking at the paper in his hand.

"Can I just say, it is an honor to have you, Miss Montgomery, in my court" he said looking at me.

"My pleasure, Your Honor. It's an honor to be assigned to a judge like you" I said smiling widely and buttering the judge. I needed to win this case. Phew! At least, the judge is my fan.

"The charges against the accused are as follows – being a Death Eater and following his doing in the Battle of the Department of Mysteries and Battle of Hogwarts, escaping from Azkaban and opening the Chamber of Secrets" he said and looked at Lucius.

"Do you deny these charges?" he asked and he looked at me. I nodded and he replied, "No, Your Honor" "Proceed, Miss Montgomery" he said looking at me and I took a deep breath in.

"There is no denying that my client did all of what he is accused of. But let's take a look as to why he did that. Mr. Malfoy is a family man, for him, family comes first and so that's what he did. He protected his family in a way which he thought was fit. Secondly, you could see that when he was imprisoned in Azkaban after the Battle of the Department of Mysteries, he didn't want to go back to Voldemort, he didn't want to go back to his own house, because he thought that the life in the cell was good enough instead of following Voldemort"

"Objection, Your Honor" the prosecutor said. "On what grounds?" the judge asked. "Er, fear is not a reason-" "Overruled" he said before she could complete.

"Fear of the Dark Lord, when you think that he can hurt you and your family, if you don't do a certain thing, is evidence enough, I think, Miss Eli" I said looking at her while she just rolled her eyes.

I looked at David, "Continue, continue" he said and all of us obliged.

"Now, as I was saying, before I was so rudely interrupted, at the Battle of the Department of Mysteries, I was there. I could see the fear in his eyes, when the prophecy broke in front of him. After Harry Potter's so-called death, in the forest, Lucius Malfoy begged Voldemort to let him search for his son, which he denied and didn't let my client find his only son, for his safety"

"And lastly, he fought with Death Eaters in Hogwarts" I said and sighed. The wizards and witches took turns for talking and after hours of defending the trial, the judge asked, "All in favor of conviction?" and almost half of them raised their hands. I shook my head and looked down.
