Part 5 || 25 - Reveal Shower

Tom's POV

Three months later...

Y/N was now five months pregnant, her cute baby bump was already showing. She has been very moody lately, but can you blame her? I quickly hurried to her apartment to show her the baby onesie that I bought. I opened the door to see Emma in the kitchen and no Y/N. "Where's Shorty?" I asked placing the bag on the counter.

"Sleeping upstairs, so shh. What did you bring?" she asked looking in the bag. "Well, I found this cutest little white onesie with two ears, look at this" I said pulling it out and holding it up for her to see, "Wouldn't Y/N love to dress up the baby in this?" I asked happily but my smile faded at what she said next.

"Yeah, but Y/N isn't going to be the one to dress him/her up" she said sadly as I dropped my hands. I completely forgot about it. I sighed and looked at Emma, "It's like it hit her too as well, she's been crying silently about it" she said and an idea instantly came to my mind. "How about we throw her a mixture of Gender Reveal Party and a Baby Shower? A Reveal Shower" I said clapping my hands once.

"A what?" Emma asked as she folded the onesie. "I'll work it out, just - just invite people over, especially her family and tell them to come in two days, I think they can manage that, I'll call my mom, so they'll all be here and she is going to be surrounded by people who love her to the ends of the earth" I said and pecked Emma's cheek, leaving happily to prep for her party.

I quickly hurried upstairs to see her sleeping peacefully. I should go and prepare for the party since it's in two days - but I can't go without seeing my favorite girl. I sat next to her on the bed, she was cuddling the black penguin, that I told her - was me - when I gave it to her. A soft smile escaped my lips at the sight.

Sometimes, I wish I had the courage to tell her that I liked her at prom...

Y/N's POV

Two months earlier...

I was getting agitated sitting at home. Everyone was busy today, Tom had been spending some more time with Jade, turns out Jade isn't as comfortable with Tom taking care of me as I thought she would.

Not news flash.

He told me about the fight that they had when I was on date with Vin, also turns out, she thinks that something's going on between us - me and Tom - and that the day Vin retrieved an egg was the day Tom slept with me. I wish! I scoffed, took my keys and headed to Mrs. Perry's for dinner. After dinner, I chose to hung there for a while. Having absolutely nothing to do, I picked up the waitress costume and started serving.

This wasn't new to the elderly couple, I would do this almost every time I came there. I was serving a customer when my phone rang, "Hello" I said softly putting my earphones in and continuing working. "Hey, love. Where are you? You're supposed to be home and you're not" Tom said as I smiled at a couple who wanted to place an order.

"Tom, I'm at Mrs. Perry's diner, working. Before you can say-"

"You're not supposed to be working other than the set, Shorty, please come back home-"

"I knew it, Tom, I'm fine, don't worry, now I have to take an order. Excuse me" I said and hung up. "Hi, I'm Y/N and I'll be your server today" I said politely and took their order. One good thing about the diner was I could enjoy my time there without girls or boys surrounding me or shouting my name.

It was closing time - 2 AM, the diner was totally empty. It was currently 1.42 AM and the door jingled, "Oh, I'm sorry, we're-" I said looking up to see Tom, "We're going to kill you" he said sarcastically completing my sentence. He pulled me in a tight hug, pecking the side of my head, "Did you have dinner?" I asked removing my apron. He shook his head, "I'll have a Rueben Revised - if you're making it" he said making me chuckle.
