After Victoria's video call with Harvey, she went and got her car from Emilee. She needed to head out and see her mom, and hopefully start some sort of dialogue about her birth parents coming back into her life.

"Mom?" Victoria asked, after unlocking the front door to her childhood home. It didn't feel like home anymore, and it hadn't since her moms got separated. It seemed dark and lonely now, compared to how love filled it before she found her biological parents.

"Tori? What are you doing home?" Elle asked, as she walked from the kitchen and looked at her daughter.

"I needed to talk, and since Mama doesn't respond to messages or calls from me... I decided that you were the one I needed to go to." Victoria replied.

"Okay. What's wrong?" Elle frowned.

"Emilee has been in contact with Mariska since the day my adoption was completely closed. And yesterday, Mariska showed up when I was on campus."

"She did what?! We can-"

"Do absolutely nothing because I'm an adult and you cannot decide things for me. So, as an adult, I met up with her today and we talked. I told her about Harvey and I think that I will continue to see her. I'd like to at least have one set of parents who aren't self destructing like you and Mama are." Victoria huffed.

Elle stepped back and leaned against the wall as she swallowed hard.

"You are so ungrateful."

"So do you want me to thank you and Mama for all the shit you have pulled over the last two years? Because I will not thank you guys at all for what happened. And, if you want me to be honest or some shit... I really think that maybe this side of the adoption should be closed. I really don't like the two women who adopted me anymore. They kinda are bitches." Victoria spat.

Over the last few years, she had truly realized how toxic her mothers were. Heather was always trying to turn Victoria against Elle, and Elle did the same thing towards Heather. They made Victoria repay them for all the trouble she had put them through, which ended with her moving out on the night of her high school graduation.

"I really regret adopting you, Victoria! We really should have picked someone else!" Elle yelled. Victoria nodded slowly before sighing.

"From this moment forward, you and Heather are no longer my mothers. Have a good life."

It took a lot of courage for Victoria to say those things to Elle, and then again to Heather when she called her to bitch her out. Yet, even if she was sobbing by the end, she knew that she was better off without them. This left her more time to focus on the family that actually wants her.

"Yes?" Peter asked, as he opened his front door early on Saturday morning.

"Hi." Victoria smiled, as she kept her hands shoved into the pockets of her leather jacket.

"You have grown up so much since I saw you last." Peter whispered, and Victoria nodded.

"Yeah, that kinda happens. But for some reason I take after Mariska in the height department." Victoria grinned.

"You are looking more like her than before... Uh, sorry. What's happening?" Peter questioned.

"I was wondering if you and Mariska had some spare time? I just did something huge and I really need to discuss it with someone."

"What about your moms? They-"

"It's about them." Victoria replied, and Peter nodded.

"We were just having coffee, would you like some?"

"Yeah, I'd love some."

Peter led Victoria into the house and watched his wife's face when she saw their daughter. She quickly moved over to the sofa and patted the spot beside her.

"So, what's happening?" Mariska asked, and Victoria sipped on her coffee before turning and looking at her.

"A lot of really bad stuff happened after we stopped seeing each other. I was always being yelled at and treated like crap, because my moms didn't like that I wanted you two over them. I apologized and tried my hardest to be the best daughter possible, but I was never enough. I tried my hardest to never disappoint them, but I always was. So, yesterday I went to them and I decided that I no longer wanted to be their daughter."

Peter and Mariska looked at their daughter with wide eyes, before looking at each other.

"Wait, so you don't want to be their kid anymore? You want to-"

"I don't know how you feel about this at all... but I was wondering if I could take your last name. I could be your daughter, and only your daughter." Victoria replied, which was followed by more silence and staring. Eventually Peter and Mariska stood and walked from the living room.

Victoria looked down at her hands, and before she got up to leave, they finally returned.

"Are you two good?" Victoria asked, and her parents nodded.

"I think it's time we let the world know about you..."

"So is that a yes to me changing my last name? Because I can take Hermann or Hargitay. Whichever-"

"Baby, take whatever name you want. We are just so happy that we can finally claim you. You-"

"I clearly get my rambling from you, Mama." Victoria chuckled.

"Oh, baby. Hearing you call me that makes me so happy! The last two years were hell without you, and I never want to go any span of time without seeing you." Mariska cried. She quickly walked to her daughter and wrapped her arms around her body.

Peter joined them and held them both as many happy tears were shed. A lot led up to this point, especially heartache and pain. But now everyone could be happy. Now they could be a true family, and it was everything that Victoria had dreamed of.

"Did someone die?" Max asked from the stairs. He had heard his parents crying, and he was worried that something bad had caused all these tears.

"No, they are just crying because they are glad to see me." Victoria sniffled, as she pulled herself away from her parents.

Max looked at his older sister with wide eyes before sprinting towards her and clinging to her.
