When Victoria was dropped off at her parents' house, she was pulled into a tight hug as soon as her mother got the front door open. They hugged for several long moments before they grabbed Victoria's bags and moved inside.

"How are you doing?" Mariska asked, as she locked the front door.

"I'm not doing great... all I want to do is scream and cry." Victoria frowned.

"We can do both if you want... and before your siblings and father get home."

"Where are they? Because I don't want Dad to be served if he is alone with the kids." Victoria breathed.

"They are grocery shopping, and I'm sure that he won't be served in public. I will get papers any minute now, trust me." Mariska replied, as the front doorbell rang. She groaned before opening the door and just grabbing the papers from the man. She slammed and locked the door before tossing the papers onto the bench by the door.

"Mama, I'm so sorry. For bringing even more drama into your life... for forcing you into dealing with this." Victoria grumbled.

"Don't apologize. This wasn't your fault. Now, I'm going to call my lawyer and why don't you take your bags upstairs and get settled in. Maybe call Harvey."

"He's busy, and I don't want to make him worry about me right now."

When Peter got home with the kids, Mariska was just getting off the phone with their lawyer. The kids ran to her and hugged her before running back to the garage to help bring in the groceries.

"Hey." Peter smiled as he sat a few bags down before going and kissing his wife.

"You aren't going to be smiling soon."

"Huh?" He asked.

"Tori is upstairs getting settled in."

"Okay? Why? Is she okay?" Peter questioned rapidly.

"She will be okay, but she's pretty scared and upset right now since she is getting sued."

"Sued? Who the hell is suing our eighteen-year-old?!"

"Guess." Mariska sighed.

"I don't want to play-"

"Before you throw a fit just like our children, it's Heather and Elle. They are suing Tori and us for breach of a closed adoption, harassment, and emotional damage. They want to go to court and get a large sum of money from us."

"I'm not paying them a fucking-" Peter started, but he was interrupted when the kids came running in and started to talk about the ingredients they got for sugar cookies.

Victoria fell asleep in the guest room, so she didn't see her siblings or father until she woke up after lunch. She rubbed her eyes and walked downstairs, and found her siblings playing some video game in the living room.

"Where's Mama and Dad?" She yawned.

"Tori? What are you doing here?" Max asked as he paused the game.

"Mama wanted me to stay here for a bit. Where are they? I need to see them."

"They are in the study... is everything okay? You don't look good." Max frowned. Victoria sighed softly before walking over to her brother. She kissed the top of his head before ruffling the curls of her little sisters.

"I'm fine, guys. Don't you dare worry about me. Just get back to your game, and I'll play whoever wins sometime tonight."

"I'm gonna win!" Hattie exclaimed.

"I'm sure you will, sweetie. I'll be back soon."

Victoria found her way to the study, and she knocked on the door. After a moment, Peter opened the door, and he let out a small sigh before opening the door more.

"I thought you were one of the kids."

"I am one of the kids." Victoria smiled weakly.

"Just come in." Peter sighed as he scrubbed his hand down his face.

Victoria looked around the room before seeing a man sitting across from her mother.

"Hello?" She asked.

"Hello, Victoria. I'm Randal Manson. We have talked over the phone before, but never in person."

"Oh yeah, you are the lawyer. Are you going to get this lawsuit dropped? Because I really don't want to go to court. I have classes and work."

"Your parents have notified me of your current engagements. If this goes to court, I will make sure that you won't get in trouble for missing."

"If it goes? Isn't it going to court? It's what Heather and Elle want."

"We can always settle-"

"I'm not settling, Randy. Those two have terrorized my family, and I refuse to let them steal from us." Peter boomed.

"Peter-"

"How much do they want? I can totally pay them off. If that helps." Victoria spoke, as she grabbed her father's arm and squeezed it.

"Baby, you can't pay them off."

"I have money saved up! What do they want?!" Victoria exclaimed.

"They are asking for fifty million." Randal spoke, and Victoria started to feel faint. She slowly found a chair and sat down on it, before running her fingers through her hair.

"I will never see that much money." Victoria whispered.

"They won't either, Tori. Just don't get worked up over this. We will figure it out soon." Mariska breathed.

"How can I not get worked up over this? They are putting a price tag on the harm that has been caused. I just don't like this. If they still loved me and wanted me, maybe they would have worked through the fact that I want you and Dad... instead of fighting me on everything. Maybe they would be my mothers still."

Victoria caved and called her boyfriend that night. She sat on the window seat and looked out onto the backyard as she waited for Harvey to pick up. He didn't the first time she called, but he finally answered the second time.

"Hey, love. It's nice to hear from you. I miss you." Harvey yawned into the phone.

"I miss you too... I wish you were here. Or that I was with you." Victoria frowned.

"Something bad happened, huh?" Harvey breathed.

"I don't want to worry you."

"Do you want to spend the rest of your life with me, Tori? Because if the answer is yes, then I will be worrying about you until I die. Might as well start now."

"Harv." Victoria whispered.

"Don't cry. I wasn't trying to be sweet or anything. I just-"

"I'm getting sued by my adoptive mothers. They want fifty million."
