Victoria didn't know what to say as her boyfriend knelt in front of her and held an open ring box out to her. She was getting a little flustered, and she stepped back as she raked her fingers through her hair.
"Tori?" Harvey asked softly as he stood. Victoria held her hands out and swallowed hard.
"I-i'm sorry... Uh, we were joking earlier about getting married but I didn't think you were actually planning on proposing right now." Victoria breathed, as she felt her body start to shake.
"We have been together for years, love. We both hate being apart, and if we get married, then you can move into base housing with me and we won't be away from each other." Harvey replied with a shaky smile.
"Getting married is a huge step... We'd be hours away from my parents and Em... what about if you get deployed? I'll be alone for months at a time and hours away from my parents. I'm still taking classes, and I don't know if my credits will transfer." Victoria rambled as she paced a bit.
Harvey frowned before shutting the box and tucking it into his pocket. He walked over to Victoria and caught her in his arms.
"If you aren't ready, then we won't get married. We don't have to get engaged... I just thought that we were on the same page and that we could get married and actually live in the same house. But if you aren't ready, then I guess I'm not either." Harvey spoke. He kissed Victoria's forehead gently before slowly helping her back towards his truck.
"I'm sorry." Victoria whispered, and Harvey just shrugged.
"Stop apologizing. There is nothing to be sorry about."

Victoria's parents were back from Disney when Victoria got back from her date with Harvey. Victoria tried her hardest to not bring up what happened, but her makeup was smeared and she was still crying so it was hard to hide what happened.
"Hey, what's wrong with your face?" Max asked, as soon as he spotted his sister.
"Go away." Victoria huffed, before quickly walking away from her brother.
"Why are you being a jerk?!" Max yelled, and Victoria turned around and stared at her brother.
"Leave me alone, Max! Just stop asking me questions and leave me alone!" Victoria screamed.
Mariska and Peter came rushing into the room and quickly went to break up the fight.
"What the hell is happening?!" Peter boomed, as he looked between his son and daughter.
"All I asked was why her face looked so messed up, and she started yelling at me! She's just being a jerk!" Max huffed, and Mariska sighed.
"Max, go into the other room. We will talk later."
"Mom-"
"Go!"
Max quickly ran from the room, and Mariska and Peter looked at their daughter.
"Did Harvey hurt you?" Peter asked, and Victoria shook her head.
"No! I hurt him because I'm such a freak!" Victoria yelled.
"Hey, relax! No one is trying to make you angry or pick on you. So just tell us what happened so we can help you!"
"He proposed and I couldn't say yes! I just started to panic and cry... and like, we talked about getting married earlier. How like you and Dad would just have to give him his blessing, but I didn't think it would happen today! I didn't think that today my boyfriend would propose!"
"Baby." Mariska frowned.
"I love him so much and I have dreamed of being his wife and having kids with him... but this seems too sudden! Like what if my college credits don't transfer and I have to start over again?"
"Victoria, if you aren't ready, then no one blames you for telling him no. You just need more time, and that's understandable. You are only eighteen and don't want to rush into something."
"Why did you give him your blessing?" Victoria sniffled as she tried to wipe tears from her cheeks.
"Because you love him and we do, too. He's a good kid." Mariska replied.
"I just need space..." Victoria whimpered before quickly moving back to the door.
"You aren't going out alone. You don't know the area-" Peter started, but Victoria ignored him.

Victoria walked around the hotel and the surrounding area. She was scared, but she was also crying too hard for anything to really register. It wasn't until a truck pulled up beside her did she start to freak out.
"I-i have p-pepper spray." She struggled to speak as she held her keys tightly in her hand.
"I'm not going to hurt you, Tori. It's just me." Harvey spoke, as he parked and moved to her. Victoria quickly stepped forward and hugged him tightly as she sobbed.
"I'm so sorry, Harv! For saying no! I'm just not sure if we are old enough to be getting married! I'm not even nineteen yet!" Victoria cried.
"Do you think I'm angry with you?" Harvey asked, and Victoria nodded against his chest as she sniffled.
"Y-yeah."
"I'm not angry with you, and if you still wanted to get engaged, just know that we don't have to get married for a few years. You could graduate and then we could get married." Harvey smiled softly as he rubbed his girlfriend's back.
"R-really? You would be okay with us being apart for a few more years?"
"I want you to be comfortable and happy, and yeah I'm lonely down here but at least I'd have something to look forward to."
"I only want to get engaged if we can wait." Victoria whispered, and Harvey chuckled before stepping away from her and nodding. He got back down on one knee as he smiled.
"Victoria, will you do me the honor of marrying me in a few years?" He asked, and Victoria let out a weak laugh before nodding.
"Y-yeah. I'd love to marry you when I'm twenty-two and graduated from college."
Harvey gave Victoria her engagement ring before standing and wrapping his arms around her body. They hugged for a long moment before sharing several kisses.
"Do you want to go back to the hotel? Or do you want to drive around for a bit?"
"I'd like to spend a little more time with my fiance."
